I'm not saying it's easy, make the USSR a German ally and Japan an ally of Britain and the United States. POD can go back to 1930 and those are the only diplomatic alignments I care about; it has to be a war with Britain, the US and Japan on one side, and Germany and the USSR on the other. GO!

Well said; if Britain reconquers America the resistance, sometimes passive sometimes active would be awful. Tons of settlers would flee into the hinterland and set up shop outside of British control. Reconquering America is asking to fight a guerrilla war.

Too early and the European countries will be too poor and too badly organized to take advantage of it the way later monarchs did. Authority would need to centralize further as well. Or at least business's would have to be advanced enough for the formation of joint stock companies.
