Sorry for not being specific enough. I'm looking for very early colonization where the colonizers were in small number and had to adapt to a new environment and its inhabitants. The first colonies of England like that of Jamestown and the colonies that followed would be fine but if there's...
The titles basically says it all. I'm looking for some detailed accounts on what happened during the early years of the colonization of America. I'm particularly interested in what life looked like for an early colonizer and the relations between natives and the colonizers. My Google searches...
Hey, im just wondering something when I saw the map below. Ethiopia was Christian while it was surrounded by an advancing Islam. How did they manage to keep their faith and did they have any contact with the catholic nations in Europe?

I am really interested in how the native Americans could have evolved themselves. It would be great to see a European-like America. A American country colonizing Europe would even be greater:D but wouldn't be possible.
Imagine how the world would look like if the American states and tribes...
I think a more interesting question would be: What if Europe discovers the America's 200 year earlier. IMO this would massively increase the survival chances of the ''new world'' states and maybe some would even become a significant power in the 1500's.
