An updated version of a flag I posted in the US State flags thread a little while ago. Made in the same vein as the Maryland state flag, i.e. using the coat of arms of the House of Hanover for Georgia in honor of George II.

Second version.

An attempt at a flag of Georgia à la Maryland based on the arms of the House of Hanover. The red on red isn't the best, but I tried to make it work.

Another take on the Cowpens/Fallout flag. An alternate early US or a later Centralized/Unitary American flag. The 13 point star in the middle represents the Union as a whole.

If the 1781 Congressional Impost amendment to the Articles of Confederation had somehow been able to overcome Rhode Island's obstinacy and pass, the Confederation Congress would then have had explicit power to collect taxes, if only a 5% duty on imports. What sort of effects would this have...

Apparently I'm not the only crazy person who had this idea. (I made this last "year" and it would be for a modern setting, i.e. months Roosevelt, Lincoln, etc.)

I would say probably, I hadn't really thought about New England too much. I might have been thinking of the stereotypical independent New England federation thing.

No concrete TL behind this, just having a some fun.

I believe he is referencing the fact that the version of the red-white-blue tricolor I used is nearly identical to the flag of Panslavism http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pan-Slavism (halfway down the page). I knew that is had some history of prior use, but it seemed the only version of the tricolor...
