  1. Return of Horrible Educational Maps

This map from the usually very well done French educational show C'est pas Sorcier, meant to show Europe after WW2. I'm crying tears of blood right now.
  2. Alternate Electoral Maps II

As someone living in Brittany: Macron might win Morbihan, and probably Finistère and Côtes d'Armor as well. He'd have his chances in Ille-et-Vilaine, for sure, but seeing how left-wing and anti-Macron especially Rennes is, he might not win this one. But honestly, I think this map overestimates...
  3. Return of Horrible Educational Maps

All eye-gouging horribleness aside, I find it quite interesting how many Turkish names seem to have come from French: Fransa (of course), Ingiltere (from Angleterre), Irlanda (From Irlande. Might just be a corruption of Ireland tho), Norveç (from Norvège), Iskoçya (from Ecosse), that I can see here.
  4. "Where have AH.commers been?" v2

Added the places I've been (live in Japan, visited Jersey and Morocco (as well as Poland, upgraded to multiple people), passed trough Luxembourg)
  5. "Where have AH.commers been?" v2

Hey there! You can add Japan to the places AHers live in, as I am currently residing there!
  6. 2018 AHFA World Cup

Also, you made a mistake in the Britanny/Hawaii match and inverted the scores. Britanny won 3 to 1
  7. 2018 AHFA World Cup

Although not the best team in the championship, Brittany has a strong football tradition and is a frequent participant in the championship. Despite the fact that they have only won once, in 1986, and since then have attained the semifinals only twice in 1994 and 2002, the Bretons still hope to...

  9. Return of Horrible Educational Maps

Apparently, Europe just reverted to its 1914 borders ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Awesome map! I just had a quick question: is Finisterric just another name for Breton? In that case you might wanna use another name (I suggest Armoric or Armorican), as "Finistère" which has given you hte name "Finisterric" comes from French, which does not seem to exist as is in this universe ;) !
  11. Map Thread XVII

I'd say either a colonial concession à la Hong Kong or Macau, or some artificial island (cause I don't recognize the shape)

I resigned because my studies does not give me much time for mapping anymore, sadly! I might try to come back with a more effective time management, but that's far from guaranteed sadly.

Nice map! Also, Am I going crazy or was the Victoria II map used as a base for this?
  14. Return of Horrible Educational Maps

And not even an accurate one! I don't think ROmania looked like that, Flanders is apparently Dutch, and some colonial borders are missing in Morocco.

That's Northern Valyria and the Slaver's Bay!
  16. Linguistic World Map 1

Abslutely not, no. Even among older generations, no one speaks Breton anymore because of the centralizating efforts of the Third Republic which banned use of regional languages in schools. Any French people (in metropolitan France, I don't know about overseas, maybe Créole is their first...
  17. Linguistic World Map 1

If you want to put regional languages in France, you might want to put them in dashed, no one speaks them anymore. I live myself in the part you colored as Breton, and I heard it spoke maybe once in my life.

    Oh, okay.

I'm sorry uif this seems a bit rude, but France is just plain wrong on this map. Breton, Occitan, ect... ae all minority laguages barely spoken. The only ones where you could make an argument about it not being covered by French blmue would be Corsican, Basque and Catalan. As a Breton from Upper...
  20. Map Thread XV

Just a nitpick: that's not Brest which is at the westernmost point of Britanny, that's Rennes, its capital. .
