  1. Map Thread XX

Thanks! Actually, a little bit on the first box, a little bit on the second. The actual Scramble is post-PoD, so it doesn't happen like OTL at all. The main sources of the push for de facto control rather than clientelage came from the Scramble itself. There's no such push ITTL: there's still...
  2. Map Thread XX

[deviantart] As hinted in my last map, here's West Africa in this as-of-yet unnamed TL. Mali (roughly OTL Senegambia + Kayes) is the cultural and economic powerhouse of West Africa. Rising from the ashes of the Outremerine colonial domains after its dissolution in the Outremerine War/African...
  3. Map Thread XX

Hey everyone! Long time since I last posted, I think it was some couple years ago, but here's my latest map: DA link The French Section of the International and its various parties made the backbone of France's socialist ruling coalition since the Second French Revolution of 1892, have lost...
  4. Map Thread XVIII

Linguistic Sovereignities were created as a response to the Alsace-Lorraine Question, before the formation of the Council of Socialist Republics in Western Europe; while the Alsatian and Lorrain communes were self-managed in the common language of the regions, education and the 'new' bureaucracy...
  5. Map Thread XVII

The Italian Confederation is one of the founding members of the Council of Socialist Republics. In fact, it can be said that the CSR was started in Italy, with the Second War of Italian Unification. Even though the urge of Italian unification did bind all the constituent republics, obedience to...
  6. The Great Crusade (Reds! Part 3)

Thanks! It's been a while I read the finished timeline - some 400 pages ago! - I didn't remember all the details. I don't think the purge will be too deep. The supporters of Integralism would basically be radicalized elements inside Vargas's previous government and some of the urban middle...
  7. The Great Crusade (Reds! Part 3)

Actually, Pedro Henrique (not to be confused with Pedro de Alcântara, his uncle who resigned his title of pretender of the Imperial Throne) would be ideal for his credentials, since his marriage to Marie Elisabeth Wittelsbach in 1937 was directly made to defy the Nazi regime. His father was a...
  8. The Great Crusade (Reds! Part 3)

No problem at all! My focus of research was related to this period of industrialization in Brazil and Brazilian Political/Social Thought. While I don't have many sources on Integralism and Salgado, I have plenty for the side actors and ideologues, as well as some biographies on Vargas, Luís...
  9. The Great Crusade (Reds! Part 3)

Wow. Finally finished all the Reds! threads. Jesus. It's been an incredible ride. Can't wait for more! Actually, I have some things related to Salgado and Integralist Brazil, especially from the last update. I really don't think that Brazil would have any territorial ambitions (besides Uruguay...
  10. A Shift in Priorities

Talking about post-war consensus, here is the rast-approved map of this week - a map of Eastern Europe, done by the Yiddish Homeland of New-Altland - ייִדישע היימשטאָט פון ניו אַלטלאַנד [Yiddishe Heymshtot pwn Nya-Altland] or, as usually called, the Heymshtot. It has both Yiddish and Latin...
  11. A Shift in Priorities

These are all duly noted, Mittleafrika and bufallo regions are all great ideas. This week, I'll post a map of the Heymshtot and Eastern Europe.
  12. A Shift in Priorities

Very nice post, rast! Now, to keep things up and running, I present my first rast-approved map for A Shift of Priorities! A map showing the irrigation and forestation efforts in Arabian Emirate Palestine, thanks to the recent surveys. The yellow areas indicate irrigated areas, and the green...
  13. A Shift in Priorities

Welp, you're right. The next map should be corrected. This TL is so detailed that slips like this are bound to happen when trying to compile all this information. Rast, wonderful update and, once again, congratulations on creating such a complex world!
  14. A Shift in Priorities

It's Khiva, Bokhara and Kokhand, the three of them were mentioned. Good idea, will do. The Ottomans, there was a problem with the colours there. It was mentioned that the Cape Republic was roughly a 400x200 miles rectangle. I roughly followed these dimensions, naturalizing the border.
  15. A Shift in Priorities

And here is the corrected map =)
  16. A Shift in Priorities

Well, I've made a world map, more of a guide, of the regions and countries, with rast's last comments. I've naturalized the borders, especially in Central Asia and Eastern Europe, while still retaining the cities mentioned in the text. a) I've included most of OTL Burkina Faso in...
  17. A Shift in Priorities

I'd love to! I came back to AH.com as happenstance, as I kind of left when work became too demanding. Now, I've got work and my thesis that needs to be presented in the next 10 months. I'd love to contribute with some maps and maybe, maybe, some guestposts about South America :D
  18. A Shift in Priorities

First time that I read this timeline, read it all in one month. Wonderful worldbuilding, rast! There are several areas in the world that have piqued my interest(not that the most seen areas aren't wonderful!) The situation in Brazil is very interesting. Prestes is one hell of a choice to lead...
  19. Base Maps from 550 BC to Modern Day, all in UCS!

There are some problems in South America - the Brazil/Argentina border was already similar to the current one in 1815. Do you want to hand to me the maps you've done so far and I'll correct anything for South America?
