  1. A Shift in Priorities

Your contributions to the TL have been excellent as well. :) I provided a link to your thread at the top of mine. Is that OK?
  2. A Shift in Priorities

Took me three solid months to get through the whole thing, but it was worth it. Marvelous work, rast! :) For those of you who are looking for a story-only version of this TL, please find it here. I'll be updating it every 25 posts. (And in case anyone was wondering, this TL so far takes up...
  3. The alternate alternate history: Southern Worldwar

Earth is Tosev 3. The Race are from the Tau Ceti system. I actually think North America would fare better against the Race in TL-191 because both the US and CS are geared up for war at home, while the US of OTL was not. That's assuming the US and CS agree to a ceasefire, anyway.
  4. MLB expansion if the Dodgers and Giants stayed in NY?

There absolutely would have been expansion or relocation to California sooner or later. The PCL was perceived as a threat by the existing majors, especially after it was reclassed to "Open" status. By moving to LA and SF, MLB took away the PCL largest markets and snuffed the league's chance to...
  5. Retrospective elections must be posted in Chat

Just noticed this thread had some (relatively) recent responses. The Retrospective US Presidential Election project began with two polls running simultaneously, one in Pre-1900 for the elections from 1789-1896 and one in Post-1900 for the rest. Shortly after the project started, though, the...
  6. TACOS Color Scheme: The Revision

Not saying you have to, but you could cut out the dominion and protectorate colors for most of the political entities and in their place on the diagram, include the hex code for the entities' color. That might be useful information. For the entities that actually need dominion and/or...
  7. TACOS Color Scheme: The Revision

This has probably been brought up before, but why does every political entity here also need a separate color for dominions and protectorates? If you're looking to give distinct colors to as many entities as possible, reducing the number of entities which get separate dominion and protectorate...
  8. Nukemap

    Maybe it was nuked.
  9. Nukemap

Tsar Bomba detonated on NYC. As viewed from Baltimore.
  10. TL-191: After the End

Wonderful TL, David. I'm sure HT wouldn't have been able to come up with anything even 10% as good as this. :)
  11. TL-191 CSA and/or Entente victorious in the Second Great War

Thanks. I think the problem is just that the author is not a native English speaker. Still a great map.
  12. Plausible works

Sure, if your library doesn't have it, you can get pretty much anything from ILL. At least that's been my experience.
  13. Turtledoves "Southern Victory" series

First, there was How Few Remain, which briefly depicted how the War of Secession ended but skipped ahead and mostly covered the Second Mexican War of 1881-82. There are no books to cover the period from 1882-1914. The Great War was covered by a trilogy (1914-1917), then there was the interwar...
  14. Turtledoves "Southern Victory" series

The Union paratroopers in the Civil War were some of the bravest soldiers ever. :p
  15. Turtledoves "Southern Victory" series

You are in for a world of hurt, mister.
  16. Problem with RCS

According to this, Japan is 255-255-0 and Ethiopia is the slightly greener 225-255-0. Similar colors, but not the same.
  17. TACOS Color Scheme: The Revision

I like that you've assigned colors to so many different political entities, but I gotta say -- your taco really looks like it's got a big long turd in it. :p
  18. TL-191: After the End

It's not quite what you're looking for, but does this help?
