How could the US have won the Second Mexican War against the CSA in TL-191? It doesn't have to be a super-massive victory but the USA does have to be considered the victor. And what would the political aftermath have been; how would relations with the CSA have gone in the long-term...

I don't think the U.S. could have taken all of Mexico in the Mexican-American War. However, is it possible the U.S. could have taken more than it did OTL (Baja California, Sonora, and Chihuahua)? What would have needed to change (militarily or politically) for that to happen?
