  1. Ask : WW3 Scenario with Nato (Accidentally) initiating the war?

NATO thinks Soviets are planning an invasion and initiate a first strike to destroy launchers, supplies and gathered forces? Basically a reverse Able Archer 83.
  2. WI: Germany threatens a 'Samson Option' in 1943?

Let's say that in 1943 the German leadership somehow realises they are doomed and decide to offer a ceasefire/peace terms. (Perhaps after a successful anti-Hitler coup following losses on the Eastern front and the death of Mussolini) However, unlike previous peace offers they threaten a...
  3. The March of Time - 20th Century History

    It's alive! :D Nice update.
  4. The world of "Zhirinovsky's Russian Empire"

Not the only thing either. :( Russia funding French National Front It's really ominous to see how some of today's events seem to mirror TTL. (Putin might not be Zhirinovsky, but he certainly has his way of making 'ominous' remarks)
  5. Gamble In The Desert: What If Saddam Came South In August 1990?

I remember reading this months ago. Glad to see it's alive. :D I did notice one error though: The US still posessed chemical weapons at this time ITTL. Including 100,000 GB and VX munitions.
  6. The world of "Zhirinovsky's Russian Empire"

I couldn't help but think of this TL when I saw the below picture. :D:eek: Article link
  7. WI: Great Britain and France declare war on the Soviet Union as well in 1939?

Perhaps through the use of chemical and biological weapons? And eventually nuclear ones as well? It would be brutal for sure.
  8. What if the Luftwaffe used Zeppelins in World War II

I would have resulted in a complete and utter disaster. Also, 50 to 1. :D
  9. 'A Throne of Bayonets' (Russia, 18th August 1991 TL)

Glad to see this still being active.:D
  10. Timeline In A Week: On To Berlin!

Historical and geographical inaccuracies aside, I really like the idea. :D There sadly aren't many 'no phoney war' TLs out there. I agree with Derwit though that the TL moves a bit too fast for my likes.
  11. A Better Show in 1940

Great TL, shame it didn't continue.
  12. 'A Throne of Bayonets' (Russia, 18th August 1991 TL)

Maybe a resolution that appoints the (Siberian) Russian Republic as the rightful heirs to the Soviet Union? Or even a vacant seat? (With everyone but the short lived Russian government in exile being labeled as illegitimate)
  13. Would British North America expand into Indian territor

Shouldn't this be in pre 1900? That said, yes. Definitely. I can't see the British suddenly allowing the Spanish and the French to get the rest of continent unopposed.
  14. WI: Hitler dies on October 16, 1941

    Seems contradictory.
  15. Protect and Survive (Ireland)

Really enjoying this one. (As with the rest of the P&S spin-offs) :D
  16. Gas attacks in WWII?

Worse yet, many would try to hide in cellars, the underground, etc. If the Germans take the initiative (and use gas first) this might result in truly horrific casualties. Adding to that, gas masks alone would be insufficient as Tabun (and the other nerve agents) penetrate the skin...
  17. TLIAD: Shuffling The Deck

One of the best TLIAD's I have read (if not the best). :D And of course it gets thumbs up for getting past the finish line. :D
  18. 'A Throne of Bayonets' (Russia, 18th August 1991 TL)

Wow. Almost (or around) 6 million deaths in Ukraine alone. How many of those forced labourers in Ukraine ended up dying? (Unless of course, they died as well, because they weren't part of the 4/5th that either left Ukraine or stayed. In which case the death toll reaches around 7 million...
  19. 'A Throne of Bayonets' (Russia, 18th August 1991 TL)

Very grim. What is the population of the former Soviet Union as of 2014?
