Whats your crazies Hearts of Iron game ?

Playing as France in 1936 scenario, HoI II (possibly with a mod, I can't remember). Built the Maginot Line to Dunkirk, held against the German onslaught. When Italy declared war on me, around 1942, invaded the idiots in a couple weeks. Landed in Denmark around 1943 and wiped Western Germany...

Jour J - French AH Comics collection

It's not bad, but I really hated that they use the old Synarchy conspiracy theory out of nowhere. But yeah, this "Omega" trilogy is probably one of the best of the series.

A Storm of Steel and Fire (an alternate WW2 history)

I doubt de La Rocque would accept. He did accept Collaboration OTL, but with a stronger France, in the framework of continuation of the regime. Pierre Laval is a more likely candidate, with a lot of political clout (former Prime Minister). Possibly Marcel Déat and Jacques Doriot as well.

A Storm of Steel and Fire (an alternate WW2 history)

Not sure there strong enough anarchist groups in France. The may be some in refugee camps, post-Spanish Civil War, but it's likely that they hate the fascists more than a regular French government. A much more obvious candidate would be one of the numerous right-wing/fascist French movements...

Jour J - French AH Comics collection

From what transpired, it appears to be based on some of the "coloriages" of the timeline, mostly focusing on the (fictive) navy ace Yvon Laguadec (who managed to have four aircraft carriers sunk from under him – so far). This TL has produced some quite remarkable publications: two "official"...

Jour J - French AH Comics collection

My main beef with Jour J is actually its format: Euro-style comics are basically the size of 2-3 US-style comics, which is very short to develop both an AH background and an interesting storyline. Wundewaffen is pure ASB, even ASBIB (for batsh*t insane), plus an increasingly unealthy dose of...

Jour J - French AH Comics collection

Pretty much that: one kind on the fore of the ship notices the iceberg on time and the Titanic swerves away. Said kid grows up to be a media magnate, immensely rich, and using his fortune and influence to ruthlessly impose a world peace movement. I found it one of the least enjoyable "Jour J"...

Disaster at Leuthen TL - Frederick the Great dies in battle

Cool, I look forward to that. Actually, there could be an equivalent of the Congress of Vienna after that war, which would then decide in creating Switzerland-as-we-know-it(-ish).

Disaster at Leuthen TL - Frederick the Great dies in battle

Hi, great timeline! I've been following it quietly for a while. I read, quite a few pages back, some request about Switzerland (my home country), but I don't think it's been really covered. I think Switzerland ITTL may be a very different country – if a country at all. The first...

No Spanish Civil War in 1936 (my new Timeline)

I can sympathize with Real Life (and the Internet) getting the way of writing projects. All the best!

Pretty much pre-1870, I'd say. We don't see any maps, but a character says something about returning to the "Confédération du Rhin".

For somebody with non-existent French, you pretty much grabbed a fair amount of it. ;) As for Germany, Hitler is said to have fled to a German colony in the Amazon ("eaten by crocodiles and piranhas, sad end for a vegetarian") and it seems that the role of Big Bad German Type is now played...

ABLE ARCHER 83: Timeline of a Third World War in 1983

Knowing Switzerland fairly well, I think it would take something more dramatic than a nuclear war to make the country abandon its neutrality. :p Joking aside, if anything I could see many conservative circles pointing out that the Swiss "national redoubt" defense worked pretty well. The...

ABLE ARCHER 83: Timeline of a Third World War in 1983

No to mention logistics might be a bigger problem and even cities that have been spared by nuclear bombings will have trouble being properly supplied.

ABLE ARCHER 83: Timeline of a Third World War in 1983

Sorry for not getting back to you earlier, but yes, I'd appreciate a link or five. As a child of the 1980s (I would have been barely 17 when the bombs cme down), I've always lived with the idea that even a low-intensity nuclear exchange would at best bring back the whole planet to the Dark...
