  1. What if Hong Kong was given to the RoC?

The prc invades and takes it.
  2. Ming in Exile

The often-wild implausibility of them is a pretty big factor.
  3. Until Every Drop of Blood Is Paid: A More Radical American Civil War

Y'all should take a chill pill, red made it clear he was joking when he put that post up. That aside, nice update. I wonder how the rebel states west of the Mississippi are doing considering that they are isolated from most of the fighting. How long can the rebels hold New Orleans and the...
  4. Avoid the Sinization of Manchuria

I guess the real question is why the qing didn't adopt modern agricultural techniques to Manchuria. Despite controlling all of China for over a century their Homeland (outside of mostly-han liaodong) had only a couple million people and many of them were still pre-agricultural. China-proper's...
  5. An Age of Miracles Continues: The Empire of Rhomania

I wonder if the Egyptians have reached aswan yet. Then again, their reputation for incompetence is second to none (would be a funny stereotype if it remains to present day).
  6. DBWI: What if the US had retroceded only Virginia portion of the Federal District in 1846?

I forget exactly when the shrunken F.D. ran out of space for new offices, maybe it was around 1920? Regardless it certainly was a boon for the cities that got new federal infastructure, especially detroit. As a resident of Georgetown, the reason is because the residents wanted to keep "the...
  7. DBWI: What if the US had retroceded only Virginia portion of the Federal District in 1846?

Hey, the federal district doesn't have any permanent residents exept the president and the FP*1 but that doesn't mean it's nonexistant. The reason for the near-complete retrocession was because Congress decided that the federal government "should not have direct control over any land currently...
  8. For Want of a Governor - A American Canada TL

Quebec would be hard pressed to be convinced to the the rebellion. The thing is, if the Americans conquer it and manage to hold it or retake it by the end of the war, there isn't much the British can do (and the French, considering they traded Quebec for some carribian islands, probably won't...
  9. An Age of Miracles Continues: The Empire of Rhomania

Also, how far up the Nile have the Egyptians advanced up the Nile? Are they close to capturing the first cataract/aswan?
  10. An Age of Miracles Continues: The Empire of Rhomania

Oh, does lothingaria control both sides of the Rhine? Are their borders essentially otl low countries plus German Rhineland and upper Rhine valley (up to basel)?

  12. Until Every Drop of Blood Is Paid: A More Radical American Civil War

Two problems with that map -West Virginia is still under federal rule -Why are there confededs around Kansas City?
  13. Mormon North American Superstate

Man, why do you enjoy massacring butterflies?
  14. Until Every Drop of Blood Is Paid: A More Radical American Civil War

Speaking as a resident of the DMV, I'm finding this quite interesting, especially cause red confirmed that my neighborhood was destroyed! Grant probably gets recgonized for kicking the rebels out of Virginian appalacia or something, but I don't wanna have the story be spoiled too much.
  15. Odyssey of Fritz, the Turncoat Prince

So if potawatomi and Calumet are essentially twin cities each equivilant to a Detroit (before Detroit's otl urban decay), how long will it take them to merge into a greater metropolitan region? Would they build separate metro systems?
  16. Until Every Drop of Blood Is Paid: A More Radical American Civil War

But above all else, the very idea of "southern plantation agriculture" is going to get erased. And with plantations destroyed, cotton (and other plantation crops like indigo, tobacco) might have their production in America halted for generations until agriculture gets more mechanized. Would the...
  17. Until Every Drop of Blood Is Paid: A More Radical American Civil War

I'd be more surprised if it didn't happen tbh, at the very least I think the feds would redistribute every former plantation's land to it's slaves outright. The monetary assets could be partially redistributed to the white yeomen that swore an oath of loyalty as a sign of good faith.
