Where did you find that? It isn't in the CK2+ help thread that lists all the titular titles. I browsed through the CK2+ landed_titles directory and didn't find anything for the keyword "palatinate".

Yeah, that may have been the case in Darkest Hour. Of course, in real life neither would work. I'd imagine that unless Switzerland just decided to let Germany through peacefully, it would be impossible to get through the Alps with WWI technology. And good luck breaking through the Maginot Line...

It isn't actually that hard to get a character killed. You can launch cheap assassinations against powerful targets with a poor spymaster and hope to get killed by the retaliation. Some Summer Fair(?) events also might grant the Depressed trait... very gamey either way. But so is being a tyrant...

Unfortunately, I don't think we can consider Kemalist Turkey as fascist, although it was pretty close and fulfilled some key requirements that many other states which often get unjustly called fascist don't. It certainly wasn't Islamic fascism, though, as it became secular. Either way, post-WWI...
