  1. Largest Possible Canada

New England was pretty much never going to join - the Federalists were pro-British, not annexationists - and the UK winning a war against the USA - like, territorial concessions winning, not just thrashing them - pretty much goes out the window after the 1850s, which means operation "Lose...

Definitely. There's no way you would support taking over a pair of departments merely because the multitudes of loyal Frenchmen living there had been Germans way back before 1648. ;)
  3. Cracked: 5 Reasons The Founding Fathers Were Kind Of Dicks

    They're in practically a straight line. :p
  4. Cracked: 5 Reasons The Founding Fathers Were Kind Of Dicks

PEI's the fifteenth, obviously. :p Newfoundland is the sixteenth.
  5. Cracked: 5 Reasons The Founding Fathers Were Kind Of Dicks

The fourteenth colony was Nova Scotia, referring to them as the Thirteen Colonies is pretty terrible after-the-fact bias.

Well, I find that any thread you're in is the "annoy Susano" thread, but that's just because you're my archnemesis. I've got no idea what the other guys' issue is.
  7. Cracked: 5 Reasons The Founding Fathers Were Kind Of Dicks

Oh yeah! Not to mention the whole slaves thing (what, Washington demand the British turn over for reenslavement people who had fled to their lines? Never!)
  8. Challenge: Ron Paul Elected President In 2008

Actually, given as how he's been a public figure for many many years, I imagine he's already been president of something or other at some point. Galveston cheese-of-the-month club president, Dr Ron Paul?
  9. Challenge: Ron Paul Elected President In 2008

The problem is that several of those help Paul and several hurt McCain, but none of them significantly damage Obama (who, as you may recall, won sweepingly). There is the Texas and Biden ones, but all Texas does is take 34 votes away from McCain and Biden presumably wouldn't be VP given the other.

Bohemia is nice (and will make Susano spazz the heck out, so extra points there too). Also, brilliant quality map in general, of course.
  11. Challenge: Ron Paul Elected President In 2008

Classy... but he's definitely not running, you realise that, right?
  12. Challenge: Ron Paul Elected President In 2008

Vast-but-suspiciously-targeted plague. Mass hysteria. Diebold. Faithless electors. LSD in the drinking water. The possibilities are endless - but the plausible ones aren't.
  13. Cracked: 5 Reasons The Founding Fathers Were Kind Of Dicks

Yeah, that's pretty much why the Boston Tea Party happened: smugglers who hated cheaper legal competition.
  14. The Ultimate Franc-o-Wank

The obvious answer would be Louis XIV, of course - and frankly he's more of a specifically Frank-wank then Boney is.
  15. The British colonizes all of the Americas

Butterflies eat Scotland - it's not too implausible, even if English control is going to be shaky for a while and in places. (Alternately, Stuart-esque dynastic union a century early; it's more likely to be called Britain that way anyhow, rather than the Kingdom of England (writ large).)
  16. The British colonizes all of the Americas

Well, the Spanish got there first IOTL and they didn't get the whole thing, not by a long shot...

6.8b, actually. But yeah - power is looking to be a far more significant constraint than food at the moment, especially as most models top out at less than 10b.
  18. Map Thread VI

Oooh, but that's iffy - for starters, 8b at how many calories a day? And also, 1 hectare of arable land in Ireland =/= 1 hectare of arable land in Iowa =/= hectare of arable land in Rwanda =/= hectare of arable land in China.

    I like. :D
