As @FriendlyGhost has stated that they're happy for me to come up with the next one:- Flag Challenge 208: Could-Have-Been Coloniser Your challenge is to create a flag for a colonial state, belonging to a colonising country which did not have any significant overseas colonies in OTL. I.e. NOT...

  3. Our Fair Country: The Commonwealth of New England

Loving this! This is Brother Cream, Hong Kong's most famous cat.
  4. Proposals and War Aims That Didn't Happen Map Thread

The Portuguese territories were previously limited by the Treaty of Alcáçovas to all non-Christian lands south of the Canary Isles, which should be most of Africa, and southern parts of Arabia, India, and China.
  5. Our Fair Country: The Commonwealth of New England

I second this call for more on the British Crown Colonies, in particular information about Hong Kong. And, @Kanan, don't worry if things are hard at the moment; you're still an inspiration to us all.

United Kingdom of England and Ireland Richard de Burgh, 6th Earl of Connaught and Ulster became the heir presumptive to his cousin, King Edward IV of England, once called the Black Prince, following the death of the King Edward's sons Edward and Richard from the bubonic plague, with King Edward...
  7. HMS EAGLE in the Falklands

Wait, the RAF has the ability to move land masses around? Surely they would have utilised this earlier in the war to remove the Falklands entirely from the grasp of Argentina...
  8. HMS EAGLE in the Falklands

To borrow a turn of phrase - "The Argies are our adversary. Our enemy is the Treasury."
  9. Ocean of Storms: A Timeline of A Scientific America

This is probably taking aspects from the Venus HAVOC mission, but Soviet engineers had at least thought about some aspects of it in something like their version of Popular Mechanics, Technika Molodezhi (Youth Technics).
  10. What would it take for British dominions to be given their own monarchs?

There were attempts in the 1850s to establish a colonial peerage in Australia, however these were wildly unpopular at the time, and Australia didn't create a system of honours until 1975.
  11. What would it take for British dominions to be given their own monarchs?

I recall that around 1901 there was the proposal for the offices and titles of Prince of Australia and Prince of Canada to be established, which could be used quite easily for these purposes.
  12. Map Thread XVIII

This is amazing. I must know more about this.
  13. CP Victory - German Annexation of Belgium and Northeastern France?

I suggest that you also post this in the Proposals and War Aims That Didn't Happen Map Thread, as we over there find this sort of thing interesting to discuss.
  14. Proposals and War Aims That Didn't Happen Map Thread

I, too, would like to know why Canada is not part of the union while Newfoundland and Australia are.
  15. Ocean of Storms: A Timeline of A Scientific America

These along with the creator's other videos are very interesting, but I'm not sure if there is enough spare Apollo hardware to implement it ITTL as a lot was repurposed to create both the Horizon Lunar Outpost and Skylab Space Station.
  16. Ocean of Storms: A Timeline of A Scientific America

This sounds vaguely similar to the Rotary Rocket, which was very awkward to use due to the torque effect of the helicopter part's rotor blades having to be continually corrected for by RCS using thrusters, amongst other problems.
  17. Ocean of Storms: A Timeline of A Scientific America

    Loving this behind-the-scenes stuff.
  18. Ocean of Storms: A Timeline of A Scientific America

Great to have it back! Still loving this. Congratulations on getting to the finals of the Turtledove Awards. I'm certain one of these should be to his left.
  19. DBWI: MCU succeeds, DCEU falters.

I don't think it needs to be Marvel holding on to the rights, just not spreading them out amongst so many different movie studios over the years. DC being owned by Warner Bros meant that all the modern DC movies would be made in the same production house, Warner Bros Pictures, making cooperation...
  20. Alternative Names for South Sudan

I was looking for this a few days ago. I recall reading that the biblical Cush or ancient Kush was one of about a dozen proposed names, along with the Equatorial Republic, the Republic of the Nile, and the more obvious New Sudan. Also Imatong, after the mountain range.
