Very nice map, Highlander. The shading/parchment-y effects are great. What are the Republic of Athens and the Spartan Empire? Byzantine successor states? One suggestion: Use simple lines rather than the 'spray paint' effect to 'point' to various nations. It just looks cleaner IMO.

No to both. I was trying to keep things simple color-wise. England controls England, Wales, Ireland, and Brittany; Castile controls the Balearics and that strip of Marrakesh; Muscovy controls all the red nations. Most likely they do. The POD is in the 13th century, and I believe Cyrillic...
