  1. MAP CONTEST: General Discussion.

Congratulations to the Lone Amigo - although I agonized for quite a while over whether my vote should go to Scarecrow instead. And Imperator was also very close - on my part, it really should've been a 3-way tie, I liked them all that much. Yeah, it was probably mutton instead, huh? :)

They're nominally part of the Chinese republic, but half the time they're under Japanese 'observation' or are struggling along on their lonesome. I thought it might be nice to have Britain as a Nazi puppet, while all her former colonies develop into havens for freedom. (Well, except Canada...

Probably through lack of will to retain them. Africa is not a fun place in this TL.

Here's a Naziwank for you. FDR suffers a stroke a year into his first term; his VP John Garner makes a mess of things, and the situation only worsens as the 1930s grind on. The US ends up voting a fascist government into power in 1940, and the US sits out WWII. There are some brief skirmishes...

I like the second one better. The mosaic idea is cool in concept, but I think it just loses too much in the execution.
  6. MAP CONTEST: General Discussion.

Looks that way, though Floid will probably check in for it if he can...
  7. MAP CONTEST: General Discussion.

This one is gonna be pretty damn hard to judge. Definitely some of the best output I've seen from you guys.

That... kicks ass! It looks like something from one of those old 1930s MovieTone newsreels. Tres cool.
  9. The prodigal son has returned!

England remains Catholic. Dammit, let's see a 30-year reign for Richard III! Oh, welcome back BTW. :D

More random map goodness. This one is probably the result of a different ARW, and perhaps a Napoleonic Louisiana.

Very nice map, Highlander. The shading/parchment-y effects are great. What are the Republic of Athens and the Spartan Empire? Byzantine successor states? One suggestion: Use simple lines rather than the 'spray paint' effect to 'point' to various nations. It just looks cleaner IMO.
  12. Ada: A Family Chronicle

It's... different. I wouldn't read it again, but it's worth perusing once.
  13. Need some help on a map

Notice it's the name of a huge wasteland... :D
  14. Need some help on a map

OK, Shadow. I only did one continent - I just ran out of steam. :o Edit: Well, I can't link the full-size version... :(

A time of piece of what? Also, Florida seems to me to be too sub-divided. Are those really viable as separate states? Other than that, I like it. Good color scheme, legible, and cool ideas.
  16. MAP CONTEST: General Discussion.

I really have to compliment you guys; you've all really out-done yourselves on these maps.
  17. Map Thread II

No to both. I was trying to keep things simple color-wise. England controls England, Wales, Ireland, and Brittany; Castile controls the Balearics and that strip of Marrakesh; Muscovy controls all the red nations. Most likely they do. The POD is in the 13th century, and I believe Cyrillic...

    1. No. 2. :(
  19. Map Thread II

    1. Yes. All the red areas are conquered provinces. 2. Yeah, yeah, I can take a hint... :D
  20. Map Thread II

    Thanks! :D
