The Ruins of an American Party System, Part Two: Collision

More specifically, the US has 563 thousand people of voting age per Reps seat on average, compared to the UK's 78 thousand per Commons seat.

The Ruins of an American Party System, Part Two: Collision

In general yes. In specific (often with regional parties) it sometimes, somehow manages to be multiparty (c.f. the UK).

I'm always in favour of making flags easier to draw, so I have no problems with the second - so much more space for the Sun of May. Also, due to optical illusions, the first one actually looks as though the white central band is narrower. The central part of the Canadian Pale is wide enough...

    A Blunted Sickle

Finally caught up! Amazing timeline. On the subject of Italian Libya, I just wanted to note that between WW2 casualties and postwar migration there are probably enough Italians to outnumber the Arabs twice over.

Es Geloybte Aretz - a Germanwank

Well, so much of the modern officer's job is logistics and other paperwork. Losing, say, a leg is not nearly so catastrophic for an officer is it would be for a rifleman. Just means they're confined to the local HQ.

Regarding the eco-communist flag - how about this? I added in a bit of blue to keep the green and red better separated, and because Earth is 70% ocean. Has the added bonus of being compass-straightedge constructable. Initial thought was to have some sort of grain wheel and a tree in...

Es Geloybte Aretz - a Germanwank

I believe plane development has carried along roughly as per OTL, perhaps a little faster. Post 3403 (17th May 1907) features an LZ 5(B) vs a Russian plane (Zhukovski Z4, reconnaissance). A few posts later it is explained that Russians are comparatively early adopters. The Russians were...

    Icarus Falls (An Alternate 1960s)

I like that pure white cutout. Maybe because it ties in so well with AnywhereInOTL's sig. Whatever the vertical thing is otherwise enclosed by the whitespace, above-left the lady's head, that could also just be whitespace IMHO.

The New Transport America: A Collaborative TL

If this is to be a PT-wank in general and not just a rail-wank, then turf wars between varies agencies (and in the North-East, between NY & NJ) need to be stomped on hard. Integrated ticketing should become established early, too.

Also substantial butterflies for the Antipodes. Here in Australia, Anzac Day (April 25th, the start of the Gallipoli campaign) is more important than Armistice Day.

    AHC: CANZUK Union

That would be the case now. With the POD you propose both the UK and Canada have easily-identifiable 'Tory'/'Liberal' parties, the Antipodes will follow suit, possibly substantially butterflying the various Labour parties as independent entities of any great concern. As for the hung parliament...

Thank you! The stars and colours aren't exactly difficult to achieve, lol. Pull the SVG off Wikipedia, move/scale/delete things in Inkscape, insert the bicolour with the relevant hex values. As for the proportions, are you referring to the flag as a whole, to the stars, or to the bicolour...

    Flag Thread III

Two versions of an Australian Republic flag in the relevant colours. Left:right proportions are 1/3 : 2/3 matching the Northern Territory flag's 'Australian Pale'. The Southern Cross is identical to the existing, the Federation Star scaled up 50%.
