    Was Barbarossa inevitable?

As far as I know the winter war was what showed them the problems they had. They failed pretty badly against the Finns but learned lessons from that and more importantly also applied them. This is something a lot of the observers at the time (including the germans) did not see: The war...

    WI: Female Hitler

The Nazis were realy keen on using Radio to spread their propaganda, but mostly after the Machtergreifung in 33. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Volksempf%C3%A4nger

Ramjets cant generate static thrust, so you would definitly need something else to get the thing airborne. I would propose either towing or better yet, an additional rocket engine. I think with both methods you can get away with the bottom mounted jet (even if its not optimal), as the risk of...

@cortz#9 : These things are awesome! Ridiculous and utterly, utterly idiotic but totaly awesome! The Black Widow Mutant looks especially goofy from the side, I love it! Would the kind of 4-wheel landing gear in the 110 mutant work?

    Alternate History Combat Aircraft

I had always thought most of the problems of the 109 stemmed from its fragile, narrow track landing gear combined with the high powered engine and a float version would have a very different landing gear. @cortz#9 : Would something like the float 110 work? It looks tremendous, but I have...

Thats a new one for me. I first thought it was some fictional variant of the FW-189. Than I googled it and it actually turns out to be based on the 189, interesting. I realy like it and will most likely use it for a project im working on. The B-10 is also new to me, the original Engine mounting...

I see what you did there :D What would the armament be? Turret + Tail: 2xLMG; Wings 1x20mm per Wing; Bottom tray 2x20mm? Unfortunately the overall aerodynamics look quite a bit worse than those of the P-61.

The float FW is awesome. I always had a soft spot for the float plane fighters of WW2, few as they are. Just from the looks I usually prefer the central float + 2 stabilizers type as employed by the japanese, but they are all cool. The "wildcatfish" is one I realy enjoy:

It kinda deafeats the purpose of the original asymetric construction, but looks realy cool, especially the non-connected tail segments!

My coment was more in response to Alterwrights remark that your design looked like a heavy fighter, which (based solely on armament) the Shinden by itself already is. If your version were to keep the same guns as the Avia, it would be actually much weaker armed.

    Alternate History Combat Aircraft

The Shinden itself is already very heavily armed with 4x30mm Type 5 cannons. I like Uruks take with the radar. The Sanka Mk.B from Sky Crawlers is indeed a very cool plane, I would describe it as a Shinden fused with some elements of the Bf-109 (most notably the canopy). Does anybody know why...

Your take on the Hughes P21-J Devastator from Crimson Skies? Why did you choose to mount your guns in side blisters? It looks realy cool, but woulndt the nose be a more sensible spot (if a canard-biplane-pusher has a sensible spot at all :D)?

Im not totally sure if this is the right thread for this, since it is technically not an AH design (but extremly weird nevertheless), but I lately have been wondering about the SNCAO ACA-5. Its a very strange, french fighter design from 1939. The designer gave a very optimistic top speed of 645...

The first one is a Ki-41 in Argentinian livery, the second one is something I dont recognise but seems to be turboprop driven and the third thing looks like a cross between a HS 129 and a deHaviland Hornet.

I always liked the sovjet Prop-to-Jet conversions, but they usually mounted the engine way lower than you did here, would an arangement like this work? Its also interesting that you choose the razorback version of the thunderbolt (that imho looks way better) for the conversion and not the newer...

    Alternate History Combat Aircraft

If you compare the twin to its normal one-engined counterpart you mostly get the usual advantages and drawbacks of twin-engined vs. single-engined aircraft: The twin has higher range and can fit increased armament and bombload. They are however less maneuverable in the horizontal plane and not...

The Ki-94-I Zwilling is realy nice. Its a plane that already promised quite a high performance, I wonder what kind of figures you would get for a twinned aircraft.

The Ar-196 is interesting (and looks fantastic, I realy dig the modern shape with the "old" design elements like the fixed undercarriage and the corrugated fuselage), going by what I know from the TL its a reverse engineered version buildable with down time technology, correct? What engine would...
