I'm thinking about doing some writing on the topic, an 1812ish POD sounds like it would work. I'd assume that other states would be independent in some sort of alliance in this scenario.

What date of POD would you suggest to make this happen?

I was wondering how we could accomplish an Independent Michigan with a POD after 1914. Is this possible? This Michigan must have at least 85% of it's current area, and be completely independent, not as a Canadian puppet state or something like that.
