  5. WI: Steve Jobs dies on the Challenger

At that point, Mona Simpson was still in hiding under the assumed identity "Muddy Mae Suggins."
  6. WI Seth MacFarlane dies on 9/11?

Without "Animation Domination" Bob's Burgers might never make it to the FOX line-up. Without the success of Family Guy's rebirth, we might not see the rebirth of Futurama (or the continued success and expansion of the Adult Swim line-up). I wonder if The Simpsons would have gracefully ended by...
  7. The Sloppiest Alternate Histories Out There...

Jesse Jackson and Pat Schroeder become...Republicans? Did the author give a reason other than the fact that he wanted them in the book? The hell of it is I actually own that novel. I've just never been able to get past the second chapter.
  8. Heart of Dixie: A Timeline

If I'm not mistaken, the image for President Morgan was "Fighting Bob" LaFollette. I'm guessing that at this point a most OTL 20th Century politicians have been butterflied away?

  10. CSA Wins WI: How would the border states have been dealt with in peace negotiations?

I think the prevailing thought during the peace negotiations would be "You'll get nothing, and like it!" The CSA would probably just gain its independence. Maybe a guarantee of a plebiscite in the future to determine the fate of Missouri, Kentucky and/or West Virginia.

  12. Heart of Dixie: A Timeline

I hope I'm wrong. Dixie Forever! Great update, by the way, SGT. Is it weird to say I'm looking forward to WW II?
  13. Heart of Dixie: A Timeline

The fact that it's a "USS" makes me wonder if the CSA even survives into the present day in this TL.
  14. The Road To Willa Cather Landing: GPUR General Election 2012

Glad to see my alma mater UL Lafayette making into the college baseball playoffs both ITL and OTL. Geaux Cajuns!
  15. The Road To Willa Cather Landing: GPUR General Election 2012

Will there be a separate thread cover the LSR election, or will it all be covered here? Being from Louisiana, I'm definitely interested in seeing more about that particular nation.
  16. Heart of Dixie: A Timeline

Also, one of the most badass sons of b***hes of the 20th Century. Also, even though John Wayne was born in Iowa, his family moved to California when he was just a toddler and her grew up in Glendale. Good God. This Louisiana Republican just defended California. Excuse me while I go and say 10...
  17. Heart of Dixie: A Timeline

Oh hells yeah! Great update, as always.
  18. Heart of Dixie: A Timeline

A thing in a bathroom that you use to wash your hands, but that's not important right now.
  19. Heart of Dixie: A Timeline

I have to second and third all of the praise this timeline has already gotten. As a Louisiana resident and big booster of everything New Orleans, the last update was particularly fun to read. Does New Orleans have its own stable of big name local department stores competing with one another the...
  20. Deo Vindice: A Very Southern Scandal

Because of the Confederate states of Cuba and Puerto Rico and British influence in the CS, especially during and after the Confederate Revolution (Known OTL as the Civil War), European football is more popular in the Confederacy that it is in OTL USA. The Dixie Soccer League exists, but it's...
