I will say, though, that, to me at least, there is a bit of a disconnect between Starlight's professed ideology in the show (which I would term simply "Institutional Tall Poppy Syndrome" and the incredibly over-the-top dystopian aspects here. That being said, we never saw her expand her ideals...

The Empire-Republic of Brazil reminds me a lot of my Brazilpunk World scenario. That brought back some memories right there. :happyblush

All up to date! Phew! :coldsweat: The various nation wanks are under the subset "Reverse Alphabet Wank Series". Just a head's-up though: the order of the maps got a bit muddled in the more recent ones, so I've done my best to keep it all clear as best I can...

Fun fact: that map being used on Wikipedia is actually one of @B_Munro 's, from way back in Map Thread III: https://www.alternatehistory.com/forum/threads/map-thread-iii.71542/page-71#post-1338785 It was posted in 2007, and uploaded onto Wikipedia in 2008.

Because on the Internet, a random thing thrown together at the last minute inevitably gets more attention and popularity than a genuine labour of love. 'S just the way it is. :rolleyes:

A lot of memes have that issue where "getting the joke" is largely contingent on also knowing the surrounding context of the original meme. Outside of that, there isn't really a whole lot of substance to it.
