  1. 1976 Soviets occupied North America

    Answered already upthread:
  2. WI: Edward VIII Was on the Titanic

Any indication that he was so inclined or are you just spitballing here?
  3. TLIAPOD: No Conclusion

Ichirô Itano, I'd guess. EDIT: actually, make that Leiji Matsumoto.
  4. WI: The German monarchy is restored- but not with Wilhlem II or his son

Couldn't the NSDAP just run someone else as their candidate and win?
  5. Photos from Featherston's Confederacy/ TL-191

Something like this, perhaps? Pictured is Mr Martti Aleksander Pihkala née Gummerus (1882–1966), a Finnish strikebreaker and short-time MP of the interwar era.
  6. Photos from Featherston's Confederacy/ TL-191

Both of these were sons of Civil War veterans in OTL. I think Buckner would have fit extremely well into the books, but I don't think he makes an appearance at all, am I right?
  7. Photos from Featherston's Confederacy/ TL-191

Misspelled Lee's first name, but it's otherwise good.
  8. Photos from Featherston's Confederacy/ TL-191

Anything to fix here? (The guy in the picture is an obscure British WWI officer by the name of Richard Courtenay Throckmorton, if anyone's interested.)
  9. Photos from Featherston's Confederacy/ TL-191

Since Wade Hampton III and Wade Hampton IV were both big in the facial hair department I'd imagine Wade Hampton V to adhere to that as well. Probably lose the beard as time passes by though... actually, how about K. J. Ståhlberg, the first President of Finland for the role of him? Even the...
  10. How many alternate history books are available in your language?

Interesting, thank you very much for this. I actually just remembered that I did once read a bunch of speculative essays in Finnish as well, but I have no memory of what they might have entailed - not the most captivating subject matters that they had then, I'd guess.
  11. How many alternate history books are available in your language?

(Anglophone members need not apply.) I have been reading nigh every alternate history title I could get my hands on. It is interesting to notice that not only do S. M. Stirling and Harry Turtledove, the two alternate history greats, have no titles translated into Finnish, but there is seemingly...
  12. Photos from Featherston's Confederacy/ TL-191

Turtledove Wiki says he was born in either 1860 or 1863. We could go with the latter, as Mr Campbell whom I mentioned above was also born then - though he died in 1938. ;)
  13. Photos from Featherston's Confederacy/ TL-191

I used this picture of astronomer William Wallace Campbell for Blackford back when I worked on my mod of TL-191 for Darkest Hour.
  14. What would a Communist America look like?

The graph representing my vicarious embarrassment on a vertical axis must have reached the stratosphere once I got to the word "Blogspot".
  15. Alternate ship names?

An idea for a novel I have developed for a few years would - briefly - feature a Japanese hospital ship by the name of IJN Komorebi Maru.
  16. Movie proposal - Kaiserreich: The Second American Civil War

Heh. I was thinking Leonardo DiCaprio, for some reason.
  17. Movie proposal - Kaiserreich: The Second American Civil War

Could we have David Andrews as Douglas MacArthur? ;)
  18. TV series Proposal - 'The Grasshopper Lies Heavy'

Ah, no - way, way, way too cerebral for the average viewer. (Though one can dream, certainly.)
  19. Photos of the Kaiserreich

I think it says, "A good citizen is punctual. Don't miss your train!"
  20. Movie proposal - Kaiserreich: The Second American Civil War

It'd probably have a bit of a dieselpunk edge to it, with each faction pumping out weird armored cars, planes and gunboats etc., duking it out in the Plains and the Appalachians... I think a crossover between Kaiserreich and Crimson Skies would work rather well, actually :o
