Seems like you are right Dr. Luny :o But what if: Mannlicher does come up with a semi-automatic rifle in the 1890s or thereabouts? How would this have an effect on military tactics leading up to WW1? Would we necessarily see trench-warfare?

IIRC, didn't the Germans try to fit a large caliber gun on the Me 410? I am not sure if this was intended to be a ground support support role or for a heavy fighter role...

Awesome TL here so far. Quick question, the Japanese zero had a range of 1600 miles, the FW 190 w/out drop tanks had a range of about 500 miles..would it be wise then for the Japanese to phase out the zero and use the 190 for their pacific operations?

I dont think India would want any part of the island, there are enough border issues and other insurgency issues plaguing the administration as it is... Also, dont forget, the LTTE killed Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi - I doubt India would welcome this secessionist state into their fold
