It doesn't though. Mordacq can still overthrow the Pétain+de Gaulle duo.
EDIT: And the dev has just told me that should Mordacq's AuthDem junta retake the mainland, he will always restore democracy.
It's been long known (or at least presumed) that Jean will be restored by the NatPop French Action. Napoleon was certainly not expected, but will apparently be a "late game Easter egg". Who would want to restore the empire though?
Siam, SocDem Indochina, AuthDem and I guess SocCon Insulindia, the Princely Federation, PSA (if Japan is democratic), Hawaii, the Philippines, Burma (?), MarLib Fengtian China, and I'm not sure how Russia and Transamur are these days.
How many Mongolians are in 1922 Feng China? Outer Mongolia was annexed by Russia after the Beiqing's collapse. Does Inner Mongolia have a siginificant Mongolian population?
I gotta imagine there's going to be an Afghani-Pakistani War. Afghanistan still has some of the former Raj territory and this time, the war might actually be more equal.
Well, I like how the new India looks on map. Not much else I can say, since I don't know much about India in any period. XD
Yeah, this is how I understood it.
In the comments, it was confirmed that Azad Hind can go Totalist. I didn't see any mention of Syndicalism though.
EDIT: The rework...
Apparently, this is something that the devs want to implement at some point, along with more post-unification content for more paths and also more people people who can support Qing restoration.
