I obviously recommend " At the Edge of the Abyss " by Thomas Diana (aka me), but you could find also many interesting books at Sea Lion Press. The have their own thread here as many author are or have been member of this forum. My favorite Sea Lion book is "Decisive Darkness".

I hope you'll continue this serie. It's really cool and interesting. I have the idea of using alternate history to make cryptides look real for a bunch of years, but I just don't have the time because I'm already busy writing my books and working on my illustrations.
