Fair enough from a technical standpoint, but I don't see either Northern Idaho (unless it's joined to Western Washington), or Superior growing big enough to become a state, not to mention the sudden creation of new hyper-urban states, or the nonsensical divisions of states like MA, MO, and PA...

Some of these states have way too small a population to be feasible (looking at you, North Idaho).

I love your "War of the Supremes" refrence. What is Colombia like in this TL?

What surprises me is the lack of straight borders for the new states.

A WIP map of my America inspired hard fantasy world. I started with the predominantly Elven/Beastfolk (basically what the races are, I won't lie to you) midwest. I'm planning on going state by state, maybe making an almanac/election map series.

NEW BIRTH OF FREEDOM: The Wilmot Proviso Passes

I love these. You should post this in Alternate Electoral Maps. Just one thing, I think the "Voting Method" info for House and Senate is backwards.

I meant the refrence to a "Washington DC inset" in the Senate map. I assume NJ elects representatives by PR.

How does Mississippi have so many electoral votes? Also, you screwed up the color key in the Senate and House maps (and there is a reference to a rectangular inset that isn't there). Otherwise, these maps look really cool. You should totally post them in the maps thread.

For consistency, I would recommend adding the light grey "subdivision" borders for North/South Dakota, Wyoming/Montana, and VT/NH. Also, you should calculate electoral college numbers once you are done.

The Orange and Green really clash. I would advise Red, Yellow and Blue, since those are the colors most news networks have used for elections historically.

This is a pretty cood map, the only thing I would say is that the counties are too "rectangular". Yes, I know much of the Midwest has square counties, but this was largely in very flat places (and in those, all the counties were on a grid). In most other places, the counties have more jagged...
