  1. Kaiserreich: Legacy of the Weltkrieg

Love the fact that they have introduced a possibility of an ATL abdication crisis in this Canada rework. One of my complaints with Edward VIII in Kaiserreich was that he never had the possibility of royally fucking up as much as he did OTL, so it's nice.
  2. Crusader Kings II - Paradox Entertainement (02/12)

While I can get behind the sentiment, Lux Invicta has 156 religions in its database already... I can't imagine the nightmare it is in mod management and the need to update it. And it's also way more than the average Total Conversion mod: to compare, After the End roughly has around 50 to 60...
  3. Crusader Kings II - Paradox Entertainement (02/12)

Well, if you want to try, there is a mod called 633 Rise of Islam. You can find it on the Steam Workshop or the Paradox Forum.
  4. Crusader Kings II - Paradox Entertainement (02/12)

Seemed to me Paradox had given us a way to get around that relatively recently, with the possibility of renaming children. But I guess it doesn't work on characters from your dynasty that have a title. But yeah, it's annoying when you're working hard to have your dynasty regularly pick names...
  5. Crusader Kings II - Paradox Entertainement (02/12)

Anywhere you want. Especially if you're using the parameters to set religions to be randomly localized.
  6. Crusader Kings II - Paradox Entertainement (02/12)

That or unknown to you your prison are irradiated and that gave him a revelation...
  7. Mistakes Louis xvi cause French revolution?

Louis XVI simply didn't have the temper to deal with the situation. In situation that probably required the use of strength, he refused to use it because he didn't want to shed his people's blood. He was also highly indecisive as he was always trying to please everyone. Add in the fact that he...
  8. Anastasia Film/Musical and Russian/Soviet Alternate History

I wouldn't say they were poorly equipped to be parents. Nicholas II's family left the image of a united family with very close bonds. Nicholas and Alexandra were probably a bit overprotective at times, but otherwise they looked to be good parents. What they weren't prepared for was having to...
  9. Anastasia Film/Musical and Russian/Soviet Alternate History

I'm shocked! I awlays believed Rasputin was an evil sorcerer who made a deal with the devil in order to get the power to destroy the Romanovs! If you're expecting an historically accurate adaptation of Anastasia's story, you've picked the wrong movie. If you're expecting basically a Don Bluth...
  10. Crusader Kings II - Paradox Entertainement (02/12)

Polyandry, just for the fun of it. I mean, the game gives you the possibility to reform your religion to follow Enatic Clans and it's already possible for tribal females characters to have multiple consorts if their religion allow it. Why not go to the next step and had the option for polyandry...
  11. Crusader Kings II - Paradox Entertainement (02/12)

One of the interesting things to note about the new start date they're including is the political situation in West Francia/France. To give an idea, here are the major players you could play: Louis IV d'Outremer (ca.920-954), the carolingian King of France. He's technically only been restored...
  12. Crusader Kings II - Paradox Entertainement (02/12)

The lastest Dev Diary about CK2 seems to indicate they'll rework the Court to make it a bit more interesting. For one thing, the court is going to get a cap on how many courtiers you can have in your court, depending on your rank and tech (specifically Majesty) and possibly other variables. If...
  13. Crusader Kings II - Paradox Entertainement (02/12)

When the game really wants to screw with you, it doesn't hold back any punches.
  14. Crusader Kings II - Paradox Entertainement (02/12)

There was once a mod called Calradia Kings with the aim to do that. But I haven't heard any news of it for a while...
  15. Kaiserreich: Legacy of the Weltkrieg

They're re-doing National France's focus tree? Could you provide a link to that so I can check it out?
  16. Jour J - French AH Comics collection

Had a chance to take a glimpse at tome 35 and 36 of this... Kinda regret it. Let's start of with Les Fantômes d'Hispaniola (Ghosts of Hispaniola), aka Tome 35. Overall, this might probably be one of the most WTF tomes in the series. But it gets worse with tome 36 Tout L'Or de Constantinople...
  17. Crusader Kings II - Paradox Entertainement (02/12)

I'm not sure if it won't be already built in: the Lighthouse itself was only abandonned after the final earthquake that destroyed it in 1323. And I vaguely remember reading that some wonders would already be existing. If not... Well, this is CK2, a game where players can reform the Roman Empire...
  18. Crusader Kings II - Paradox Entertainement (02/12)

According to the latest Dev Diary, the next update and DLC will be called Great Works. It's scheduled to be released on April 2nd. As has been advertised in previous diaries, it basically will give the player the option to build Wonders: Grand Palaces, Cathedrals, Pyramids, Mausoleums, Statues...
  19. A Prince Losing His Virginity? Or How I'll Make a Man Out of You

There are lay people working for the Church. The Vatican isn't just full of priests, monks and nuns... even if that's most of the people you see there.
  20. Crusader Kings II - Paradox Entertainement (02/12)

For those interested, the Game of Thrones mod has been updated to version 1.9. Most of the changes seem to be Canon-related, though there are also a few bugfixes here and there. Also, Elder Kings is now on version 0.2.3, which means it's now compatible with Holy Fury.
