    Keraunos does not assassinate Seleucus

Is there really that much risk if Keraunos is kept away from Coel-Syria and stays either in the Balkans or in the easten satrapies? Keraunos does have something against Philadelphus so I don't think he would want to turn on Seleucus if he can use the old man as a means to seize power. Any...

    Keraunos does not assassinate Seleucus

I don't disagree with you. Is it possible for Keraunos to receive an military posting of some importance under Seleucus?

    Keraunos does not assassinate Seleucus

Keraunos is implied to have to been a middling commander by Practical Lobster. Your second reason could've definitely contributed to that. Your idea could certainly be a timeline of its own. We do need more Hellenistic-era TLs.

    Keraunos does not assassinate Seleucus

Right. I just need to come up with a good enough reason. Would it be out of character to have this alt-Keraunos turn a blind eye and allow the rebellion to ferment and spread while eventually siding with the Macedonian king when it's time to confront it?

    Keraunos does not assassinate Seleucus

I do admit that I am not as astute when it comes to historical matters. I am merely an enthusiast (casual-level) proposing a scenario. I apologize for my ignorance but given the spare amount of details of Keraunos' life, I assumed he was somewhat of a chess master or at least perceived himself...

    Keraunos does not assassinate Seleucus

I'm just pitching an idea that I might one day explore in my spare time. and asking for criticisms whether it's good enough to even turn into a TL. In the Wikipedia article for Ptolemy Keraunos, he strikes me as a fairly interesting personality with some AH potential. He was Ptolemy I's eldest...

Dionysus Lives: Mark Antony Survival Timeline

I'm personally disgusted by the idea of half-siblings marrying each other but that has precedent in both ancient Egyptian and Ptolemaic tradition. Ptolemy could marry Antony's daughter Antonia Minor while Alexander Helios could go for the older sister Antonia Major. This not only unites both...

Dionysus Lives: Mark Antony Survival Timeline

While you were discussing the idea of a spouse for Caesarion, I had the weirdest idea that I had forgotten to mention: have Caesarion be married to one of Mark Antony's daughters with Octavia the Younger, sister to Octavian (Antonia Major, Antonia Minor). If Cleopatra and Caesarion wants to make...

Dionysus Lives: Mark Antony Survival Timeline

I wouldn't be surprised if Cleopatra tries to reel in Antyllus the same way she enchanted his father and Julius Caesar. She's not young but she's certainly not that old.

Dionysus Lives: Mark Antony Survival Timeline

I have a good feeling that Caesarion tolerated his mother cavorting with Antony. Hope there's an update soon.

Plus if an unfortunate incident happens to befall the Parthian King, hubris would compel him to use his Parthian wife as a pretext to conquer Persia.

Roman expansion in Asia, if Pergamum's ruler did not deed his state to Rome?

Rome would likely find some pretext to annex Pergamum. If not, the Roman Republic could attack the Cilician pirates and establish their presence in Asia from there, saving Pergamum to be annexed at a much later time like almost all Roman vassal states.

Greek language extinct before 1000 AD

Much of what's considered Greece was inhabited by a myriad of Slavic tribes from the sixth century. Likewise in Crete you had an band of Andalusian Arab rebels essentially conquer the island and turn it into a haven of piracy. Both areas were eventually reconquered by the Byzantines and...

There's no competition. Caesarion's best chances to succeed is to marry the Parthian King's daughter.

I agree but Caesarion would use his siblings' deaths as a pretext to expand his lands. As would Cleopatra.

She can be spiteful all she wants but she'll play ball if her children's lives are down the line. That said, Caesarion is getting up in years and he would certainly benefit if his half-siblings are disposed of.
