AHC/PC: A Latin American nation joins the British Empire

Because Ecuador at the time was part of Gran Colombia and it's unlikely Gran Colombia itself would want to become a de jure part of the British Empire. There's also an opportunity for British involvement during the Wars of Latin American Independence. Guayaquil had declared its independence in...

AHC/PC: A Latin American nation joins the British Empire

There was an active monarchist sentiment in Ecuador throughout a good portion of the 19th century, particularly amongst the members of the Conservative Party. They idealized Europe and sought to imitate it, especially Spain, for social and political inspiration. Juan Jose Flores had attempted to...

    AHC White Abyssinian Monarchy

I don't know about a "White" Ethiopian monarchy but there were certainly Euro-Ethiopian communities present there, especially by the descendants of Portuguese soldiers who settled down (not wanting to be sent to India) and the local women. Given that Ethiopia's status as a Christian enclave...

AHC : Colonise the New World without using an establish country.

That is how the Canary Islands were brought to heel. All it takes is an ambitious rich lesser noble, some ships and troops and diplomatic savvy to carve out a kingdom in the New World.

AHC : Colonise the New World without using an establish country.

Hm. There's the possibility oppressed religious communities, perhaps schismatic Christians, Jews and Muslims, pooling their resources together and hire out a few ships, mercenaries and more than a few month's worth of supplies and venture out to the open sea, in the hope of securing a land...

Miranda's Dream. ¡Por una Latino América fuerte!.- A Gran Colombia TL

I hope the Irish immigrants decide to desert to the Mexican Army once they realize that they're being ordered to shoot at fellow Catholics. Imagine St. Patrick's Battalions formed en masse.

    Timur in Europe

The Ottoman Empire suffered a catastrophic defeat at Ankara in 1402 by Timur. It was due to the intervention of Venetian and Genovese ships that the remnants of the Ottoman army could escape across the Dardanelles and arrive in Europe. What if the Italian ships decide to not give sanctuary to...

    Carthage conquers Egypt AHC

Carthage was a trading power, not bent on territorial conquest like Rome. It had no impetus to seek direct conquest over others until Hasdrubal and Hannibal Barca took initiative and began subjugating the Iberian tribes. Ptolemaic Egypt was an OTL friend of Rome and pulling resources to use...

The Palace has Fallen: A Timeline Without Charlemagne

Since Asturias is named after the river Astura, original Celtic root being "Stour." Perhaps the name Sturland or Osturland? Or perhaps something that comes to mean "western land." If it's depopulated enough prior to the Norse conquest, it'd be a Nordic cultural isolate in Hispania kind of like...

Republican Is still the "Liberal" Party

You could have Nixon win in 1960 and seek to use his administration to push civil rights for black Americans ie bizarro Southern Strategy. Not as ambitious given the opposition from southern Democrats but just enough for African Americans to switch to voting Republican. The Republicans are...

    Roman Kushite province

The Romans wouldn't be able to penetrate far beyond the Sudd: the OTL expedition got stuck in the swamps there. There's always the potential of Roman trade and diplomatic expeditions to Axum and the Swahili Coast via ports the Romans can construct in the Nubian coast of the Red Sea.

    Roman Kushite province

Kush was likely a client kingdom of the Roman Empire IOTL, being beaten by the Romans in a brief war not too soon after Egypt's annexation into the Empire. Kush being annexed outright doesn't change much beyond that Rome has direct access to Nubian gold mines. It would be an extra source of...

The Palace has Fallen: A Timeline Without Charlemagne

Perhaps the remnants of Asturias would be conquered by the Norsemen and the Reconquista, of at least Galicia would be spearheaded by them. Perhaps something along the lines of the Danelaw in Spain?

    WI: Mongol Caliphate?

Can't have an Abbasid Caliphate if you have no Abbasids left alive. Just have the Mongols work hard to murder every single member of the family and force whoever's left (daughter or whatever) to marry the Ilkhan or his son.

    AHC: Abbasid restoration in Egypt

With any POD from 1261 onwards, have the Abbasid Caliphs in Cairo somehow have a resurgence in power and usurp control from the Mamelukes.

    Didache kingdoms all collapse

Yes. That's why his rebellion ended up failing. It's the only plausible scenario I can think of in terms of a native seizing control of Persia. Bactria would likely go to its own devices as the isolate of Hellenistic culture in the east even earlier than OTL.
