  1. A Shift in Alliances - a tale of the Soviet-Japanese War and Beyond

According to the book "Biohazard" by Ken Alibek, the Soviet Union had a bioweapons program that saw limited use against the Germans IOTL. The Japanese may taste something of their own medicine.
  2. No W-An Alternate 2000s TL

"...at least 12 deaths and dozens of injuries before riot police intervened." Reads a bit like the riot police waited for some of the idiots to kill each other off before wading in...kind of quietly encouraging a biological solution to the problem ;)
  3. To Hell Or Bavaria.

If given a choice to go to Hell or Bavaria, I'd have to sit down and THINK. Long and hard. I lived there for four years. Hated it mostly. And the beer sucked, too. So a devil peeing on me might actually be an improvement :D Watching this with interest.
  4. Crisis in the Kremlin: An Extended Cold War TL

Meeting in a restaurant is corny, all right. But it is so corny that it might be dismissed by counterintelligence out of hand. In plain sight and all that...
  5. No W-An Alternate 2000s TL

Why? There is no W. Exactly what it says on the tin.
  6. No W-An Alternate 2000s TL

    Huh? Why?
  7. Wagner’s Germany: An Axis Victory TL

Wagner is refraining from micromanaging military ops, however. And German generals generally (hurr, whatta pun) weren't mindless automatons, contrary to popular belief. If he gives a framework of desired objectives and lets the generals come up with the plan (in other words, not be an egomaniac...
  8. No W-An Alternate 2000s TL

I wonder if Frothy or one of his lickspittles won't contemplate going after US exiles who are particularly vocal in their disgust for the ole homophobe. There will be enough agents/operators available for this, sadly. Regarding Frothy's homophobia, what about the old wisdom that those who...
  9. What if the falklands were American territory during the argentine invasion?

Castro has embezzled enough to laugh at this as chump change.
  10. No W-An Alternate 2000s TL

I think that is the purpose of this law. "Un-American" is sufficiently vague - or, to use the legal term, undefined - to give the "authorities" enough leeway to happily ban anything not sufficiently frothy enough. If interpreted to the letter, ALL media not originating in the emerging Theocratic...
  11. No W-An Alternate 2000s TL

I am willing to bet that there is a thriving black market for banned media in the USA. Hardcopies, masked downloads, you name it. Banning something just makes it more interesting. Ooooh, I am SO looking forward to the reckoning!
  12. No W-An Alternate 2000s TL

I think that a lot of movies, video games and songs will be banned for seditiousness in this emergent theocracy that is he United States. Especially since European and other media will jump in with both feet blasting Frothy and his regime with the help of US expats. The comedians all over Europe...
  13. Wagner’s Germany: An Axis Victory TL

I'd advise against overusing Skorzeny or using him at all period. The man wasn't half as competent as his legend - which he vigorously promoted himself - makes people think he was. Most of the operations he thought up were abject failures (especially Rösselsprung and the operation during the...
  14. No W-An Alternate 2000s TL

You can bet that homeschoolibg will be the first thing to be outlawed. Can't risk any children not being indoctrinated with all that wholesome Christian shit...
  15. Crisis in the Kremlin: An Extended Cold War TL

Reminds me a lot of Dugout Doug. In both cases, a deeply unpleasant character facet. Smells of megalomania. Is it just me or did all the candidates come across as complete tools?
  16. No W-An Alternate 2000s TL

Whisper? No. More like that: The GOP wiil be dead meat for decades.
  17. Crisis in the Kremlin: An Extended Cold War TL

    1) Batmonkh. See also: Awesome McCoolname. Sounds like somebody who taught Batman the ropes :D 2) "...a free, democratic nation for all Africans." A good stance, depending on how "African" is defined...
  18. Wagner’s Germany: An Axis Victory TL

I thought he was a Brit. But whatever :)
  19. Wagner’s Germany: An Axis Victory TL

I gave mine away during my frequent service-related relocations. I always prefer books written by non-Germans on German (military) history to be more objective and thus more readable than the auto-flagellation many German authors seem to indulge in.
  20. Wagner’s Germany: An Axis Victory TL

I read that one too a few years back.
