  1. Primavera d'Italia: War, Love and Revolution

May I ask about the situation in Emilia? I'm a bit fuzzy about it. (Romagna I guess it depens about how stuff goes down in Rome).
  2. Primavera d'Italia: War, Love and Revolution

Oh, no. Don't get me wrong, the position makes perfect sense (I wasn't really considering the Romans and Neapolitans can really complain right now and It's way better for faster communications with central Europe, which will be honestly the biggest Italian worry). That's such an hard...
  3. Primavera d'Italia: War, Love and Revolution

That's wild (in a good way!). Won't the more southern states complain in time? Guess now we know one more options the Veronese have ;)
  4. Primavera d'Italia: War, Love and Revolution

Poor guy, that's harsh. You could hear his dreams shattering.
  5. Primavera d'Italia: War, Love and Revolution

Not a problem, I understand. My interest is just piqued, especially about the "difficult problem".
  6. Primavera d'Italia: War, Love and Revolution

I've re-read the very beginning and it mentions "free cities", I'm very curious about those. Just out of curiosity what are the options for Verona to choose from? Republic of St. Mark,.... (for some reason I don't get a strong feeling Veronica is one of those "free cities").
  7. Primavera d'Italia: War, Love and Revolution

That's probably how I envision things playing out. Probably if local governments do even a little to protect their regional languages (lessening the stigma) it can do a lot to keep them viable (even if not used officially, even a small cultural production could go a long way).
  8. Primavera d'Italia: War, Love and Revolution

I do wonder what the consequence of a confederation will be on the regional languages of Italy. (I always tell my students that Piedmontese, Lombard, .... are NOT Italian dialects, they are Latin dialects like Tuscan), from what I gather they are way more spoken in the South, maybe they'll do...
  9. Primavera d'Italia: War, Love and Revolution

I've been following for a while, but I think it's time to check in . Great TL, cannot wait to see where this is all going. Italy could hold the cards to do so much better (and I'm intrigued to see a federal state implented).
  10. An Age of Miracles Continues: The Empire of Rhomania

I hadn't noticed. That's way his reign felt so much longer!
  11. An Age of Miracles Continues: The Empire of Rhomania

Man, I do love this epitaphs of yours. May Demetrios rest in peace.
  12. An Age of Miracles Continues: The Empire of Rhomania

I probably missed something.... what king? the Khazar one? I thought he only ruled over his own kingdom.
  13. An Age of Miracles Continues: The Empire of Rhomania

Doubtful. At least for a long time; I think that national identities have yet to emerge (although probably the war against the Triunes may give rise to a German identity, coupled with the hatred for the "evil" romans) and to boot attacking Hungary is a bad idea, given the defensive alliance...
  14. An Age of Miracles Continues: The Empire of Rhomania

Agreed (it took me a while to get the "french comma" ). The only real chance for any german invasion force is during or right after the civil War. Even a stabilized independent "France" would be a very tough nut to crack if it keeps that border. Would be interesting to see how a German national...
  15. An Age of Miracles Continues: The Empire of Rhomania

Given the mistakes made by the romans this situation is beyond ideal. Coupled with the deal in the Balkans the point of friction in Europe are reduced to almost zero. The roman withdrawal now from European affairs will pick up its pace by a lot (as foreshadowed multiple times). Could I ask about...
  16. An Age of Miracles Continues: The Empire of Rhomania

Loved the update. It was very good to see the Sicilians become more assertive, with their agenda made clear. I eagerly await to see how the dust settles...
  17. An Age of Miracles Continues: The Empire of Rhomania

The Huge switzerland would be the ideal situation for Northern Italy, maybe a bit too perfect (for anyone involved, and rarely things go that way in reality). I didn't have a chance to see the update, but I cannot wait to see what B444 cooks up!
  18. Rebirth of an Empire "O Renascimento de um Império" v2.0

I love these post-war settlements, this kind of posts are my favourite!.
  19. An Age of Miracles Continues: The Empire of Rhomania

Offering my two cents (no idea about greek names) but I like using the name "Nineveh".
  20. An Age of Miracles Continues: The Empire of Rhomania

Yes. It's the official language. By the time of their independece french domination wan't that old and Occitan was still a vibrant language (culturally, from what I recall it was still spoken by the the populace into the 20th century OTL, but its standing was way diminished).
