  1. Project Adolphus

Perhaps. I'm kind of busy right now, but all I ever functioned as was Project manager/coordinator and a stopgap artist until we found someone dedicated (and talented) for that position. So I'm not that key. But I feel kind of bad with Dangi doing all of the heavy lifting and me unable to help...
  2. Project Adolphus

It came down to just Dangi and I as the interested parties, and then I got swamped by real life and missed a few meetings, which understandably turned him off. It takes the commitment of multiple parties to make something like this work.
  3. What if Saladin had died during the Siege of Jerusalem

How likely is it that one of his brothers takes over smoothly, though?
  4. Baldwin V, King of Jersusalem, Reaches Adulthood

Let's not be pedantic, the Kingdom of Jerusalem was ended as an important state well before then.
  5. WI The Columbian Expedition was a complete failure?

There was some really interesting discussion in the days after I tuned out of this project. Codae, you're entries are great. I am thinking about putting together a simplistic overview of what we have so far, that way we can see what areas need more exploration. For now though, this bump will do.
  6. 1492 Columbus sank in the ocean blue

See this thread. I have been meaning to contribute my bit to that collaborative timeline, but it keeps slipping my mind. :(
  7. WI FDR gets a 50 state sweep?

    Not in 1936.
  8. Wilson's 1919 stroke kills him

Thomas R. Marshall: 29th President of the United States (3 October 1919 - 4 March 1921/5) Interestingly, the First Red Scare occurred from 1919-1920, while Wilson was incapacitated. I wonder if Marshall, who (according to Wikipedia, anyways) was a 'Progressive', would replace Palmer with a...
  9. Project Adolphus

That's fine. I believe we're still waiting for Poe to update the codebase, but I have checked so I could be late. We already have the outlines of a Game Design Document, but this Sunday we need to put some meet on the bones, and start talking about milestones and deadlines. Looking forward to...
  10. Neolithic civilizations of Mesoamerica compared to those of the Old World

Our resident Native American experts may have to correct me on this, but I thought that the Mesoamerican states also had to deal with (semi)-nomadic invaders. Didn't the Tarascans, for example, come down from the deserts of the American southwest?
  11. Schisms of Islam

Hey now, I'm just trying to help you out here. :)
  12. Schisms of Islam

Sorry but no. None of those polities were in anyway Ethiopian. Aksum retreated from the coast as the Red Sea trading network's importance waned, but it did not disintegrate as a state. The Negusa Nagast (King of Kings) continued to rule from a mobile capital, and later from a (difficult to...
  13. Schisms of Islam

Hate to be a downer, but if you don't know anything about a topic's history in OTL, you can't be bothered to research it, and it isn't particularly relevant to your story, don't include it at all. Do you have any reasoning at all behind this?
  14. Are you a Standardist or a Leipist?

I follow the one true path of my Lord and Savior David Leip.
  15. Project Adolphus

Sorry guys, I was sick and totally forgot about the meeting. The channel should not have been down though...it works for me today. Were you guys able to meet at all?
  16. WI The Columbian Expedition was a complete failure?

Sorry about taking so long to reply to this thread; I have been sick. That all makes sense. The Cofitachequi are just one kingdom with a larger cultural region, so I will probably start developing other peoples once I catch them up with the Spanish. However, it might be a while before I get...
  17. WI The Columbian Expedition was a complete failure?

Dude, that's intense. Let's do this!
  18. Project Adolphus

I'm sorry, what? And, if you don't mind me asking, what is your native language?
  19. Project Adolphus

I just posted a challenge to create a 1618 map of the Holy Roman Empire. If you want to help this project, but aren't sure how, this is your chance! An accurate depiction of the political situation is something we will need before moving forward.
