The Worst American Civil War Alternate History Cliche

He split slave families, which the previous generations of his family had not done, and those slaves he extended where kept until the a state court literally forced him to free them. Saying that's not "infamous" is arguing semantics.

    Stars and Stripes Ascendant

Cool idea for a TL. Is America going to resume a realistic level of competence? Also, IMO, the books were poorly written, everyone seemed to talk in newspaper headlines.

AHC: Have a POTUS tarred and feathered

Elias Boudinot during the Pennsylvania mutiny seems the most likely, assuming he was with Congress and they don't leave in time.

What if the Louisiana purchase included Haiti?

The U.S. negotiators were surprised with being offered all of Louisiana, but rolled with it. Haiti is on another level than that. Does the U.S. even want Haiti?

Soccer being more popular among the population of the USA

    1. Football dies off due to violence instead of being reformed in the '00s (19- of course). 2. ????? 3. ????? 4. Soccer is the 2nd largest sport (behind baseball).

USA without the Louisiana Purchase; Canada Ascendant?

It's a different situation, early on you had loyalists moving, and later the people immigrating recognized that the land had a government, that's not the case here. Britain can try to assimilate them if they allow a high degree of local control, it will be a tricky balance. They don't...

USA without the Louisiana Purchase; Canada Ascendant?

It won't be "Hyper-Canada" for several decades, if they can get it settled with loyalists. The U.S. will have a much larger population for quite some time.

USA without the Louisiana Purchase; Canada Ascendant?

U.S. settlers are already there, with more coming. It will take a war and a major long-term commitment to stop them, Britain isn't likely to have the interest in doing so and maybe not even the ability. They could hold New Orleans and the coast (which could easily cause a war at some point)...

Who would/should be the GOP nominee if Bush did not run in 2000?

Bush checked every box for the primary. It's a chaotic open field without him.

    Virginia abolishes slavery in 1831

I could only find that there was a debate after the Turner's uprising, and calls for abolition were DOA in the legislature.

Sure, but it still might make then look bad (or at least show the pattern of failing that marks "villain decay"). Even in universe they wanted to dump Wyatt some time ago for failing his job. Also our heroes can't even cock block without (spoilers) and only didn't because of the (extremely...
