Unknown -- Barry Sanders, the Best Running Back Texas Ever Saw
Here's my first alternate sports list, with two PoDs: (1) Barry Sanders stays for his senior season (the 1989 football season) at Oklahoma State and (2) the University of Miami Hurricanes win the Catholics vs. Convicts matchup in 1988, leading to Miami winning the college NC and to their quarterback, Steve Walsh getting drafted by, oh, Detroit in the second round. With no Steve Walsh available in the supplemental draft, this means that the Cowboys are still eligible to get the #1 pick in 1990, and they pick Sanders. So, here's a list of Super Bowl winners ITTL:
Super Bowl XXV: Buffalo Bills (1) beat the New York Giants Super Bowl XXVI: Washington Redskins (2) beat the Buffalo Bills Super Bowl XXVII: Dallas Cowboys (3) beat the Houston Oilers Super Bowl XXVIII: Dallas Cowboys (4) beat the Kansas City Chiefs Super Bowl XXIX: Dallas Cowboys (5) beat the Pittsburgh Steelers Super Bowl XXX: Dallas Cowboys (6) beat the Indianapolis Colts Super Bowl XXXI: Dallas Cowboys (7) beat the Jacksonville Jaguars Super Bowl XXXII: Denver Broncos (1) beat the Dallas Cowboys Super Bowl XXXIII: Denver Broncos (2) beat the Minnesota Vikings Super Bowl XXXIV: Jacksonville Jaguars (1) beat the Tampa Bay Buccaneers Super Bowl XXXV: Oakland Raiders (3) beat the Minnesota Vikings Super Bowl XXXVI: Jacksonville Jaguars (2) beat the New Orleans Saints Super Bowl XXXVII: New Orleans Saints (1) beat the Jacksonville Jaguars Super Bowl XXXVIII: New Orleans Saints (2) beat the Oakland Raiders Super Bowl XXXIX: San Diego Chargers (1) beat the New Orleans Saints Super Bowl XL: New Orleans Saints (3) beat the Pittsburgh Steelers Super Bowl XLI: New Orleans Saints (4) beat the Indianapolis Colts Super Bowl XLII: New Orleans Saints (5) beat the Oakland Raiders Super Bowl XLIII: Pittsburgh Steelers (5) beat the New Orleans Saints Super Bowl XLIV: Green Bay Packers (3) beat the Pittsburgh Steelers Super Bowl XLV: San Diego Chargers (2) beat the St. Louis Rams Super Bowl XLVI: Dallas Cowboys (8) beat the Denver Broncos Super Bowl XLVII: New Orleans Saints (6) beat the Pittsburgh Steelers Super Bowl XLVIII: New Orleans Saints (7) beat the New England Patriots Super Bowl XLIX: New England Patriots (1) beat the New Orleans Saints Super Bowl L: New England Patriots (2) beat the Dallas Cowboys Super Bowl LI: San Diego Chargers (3) beat the Minnesota Vikings Super Bowl LII: Pittsburgh Steelers (6) beat the Dallas Cowboys Super Bowl LIII: Chicago Bears (2) beat the Pittsburgh Steelers Super Bowl LIV: San Francisco 49ers (5) beat the Tennessee Titans (Note: there is no Covid-19 ITTL--since the PoD is in 1990, it makes sense that it would be butterflied away)
