(Missing details and clarifications but this is the presentation of the country. Thank you for your comments. )
United States of America (in spanish: Estados Unidos de América; in french: États-Unis d'Amérique ) is a sovereign country constituted as a constitutional federal republic. The country encompasses the entire area of North America - including the Greater Antilles, the Lesser Antilles, located between the Arctic, Pacific and Atlantic oceans, bordering Colombia in the south, separated from Russia to the west by the Bering Strait. It also includes the state of Hawaii being the only one of its states that are not in the American continent. The country has several territories in Africa, Asia and Oceania that have the category of Associated Free States. With more than 24.70 million km² and more than 590 million inhabitants, the country is the first largest in total area, the second largest in contiguous area and the third in population. It is one of the nations with the greatest diversity of ethnicities, cultures and languages, with Spanish, French and English being the official languages of the country at the national level.
It is the world's largest national economy in nominal terms, with an estimated GDP of $25.7 trillion (a quarter of nominal global GDP) and a fifth of global GDP in purchasing power parity. The country is the main capitalist force on the planet, as well as being a leader in scientific research and technological innovation since the 19th century, and since the beginning of the 20th century, the main industrial country. In GDP PPS, the U.S. is the first largest economy.
These Amerindian peoples have inhabited the continental United States for thousands of years. This Amerindian population was reduced by disease and war after the first contact with Europeans. The United States was originally founded by thirteen British colonies, along the Atlantic coast and later joined the colonies of Quebec and New Spain. On July 4, 1776, they issued the Declaration of Independence, which proclaimed their right to self-determination and the establishment of a cooperative union. The rebellious states defeated the British and Spanish Empires in the War of Independence, the first successful colonial war of independence. The U.S. Constitution was adopted on September 17, 1789; its ratification the following year made the states part of a single republic with a strong central government. The Bill of Rights, comprising ten constitutional amendments guaranteeing many fundamental civil rights and freedoms, was ratified in 1791.
From the late 18th century to the early 20th century, the United States acquired territories from France, Spain, the United Kingdom, Colombia, Russia, Denmark, the Netherlands, and Japan, in addition to annexing the Kingdom of Hawaii. By the 1890s, the national economy was the largest in the world with the American War and the Great War confirming its status as a military power. In the 1940s, it emerged as the first nuclear-armed country to become one of the world's three superpowers. The country accounts for two quarters of world military spending and is a leading economic, political and cultural force in the world.
