Chapter 1

81 AD

The Emperor Titus Flavius Vespasian II had been emperor of Rome for just 2 years. He was loved by the people and had proven capable as an emperor. His only hier was his brother Titus Flavius Domitianus, but that had all come unraveled only a short time ago. His brother had tried to poison him but had been discovered by a slave loyal to Titus. Now came the breaking decision that Titus needed to make. Forgive his brother, he had done it before but a second chance had been ended the same way, have him killed for treason, he surely could but it was his own brother. He could also exile Domitian and his cousins through his uncle Sabinus could become his heirs.

Titus continued his pacing across the floor of the Curia Julia the Senates building. Before deciding what he would do. He turned to the Praetorian Tribune awaiting his decision. "I want our prisoner exiled. Send him to capri and leave a centry their to guard him."

The Tribune could only nod at his Emperor. "What of his wife sire?"

"Bring me Domitia."

A while later Titus looked upon his brothers wife, the daughter of the venerable general Corbulo. Domitia was a beautiful woman, and young enough to bear children. Better yet she was a decendant of Augustus.

"Domitia, my brother has attempted treason and tried to have me killed, i have forgiven him once but no more. I am having him exiled, but i have another option for you. Become my wife and provide me hiers for Rome."

Domitia simply smiled and nodded. "If the emperor wishes it i will become his wife but first i must divorce Domitian."

Within days all was done and Domitia daughter of Corbulo and descendant of Augustus was divorced from the Emperors brother and Married to the Emperor. At the beginning of 82AD, it was discovered she was pregnant with Titus's child and the couple was blessed with a son, their boy was named Titus Flavius Vespasianus the same as his father, in 84AD they were granted another boy, Titus Flavius Corbulo, before in 85AD a daughter Flavia Domitia was born. The dynasty of the Flavians was secured with these 3 children.
