AHC: Break the Bald-Hairy Pattern in Soviet/Russian Leaders

Of course, one of the most visible, well known Empirical succession Pattern in USSR and Russia is the Bald-Hairy pattern.

Of course, it was already started in 19th century, with Tsar Alexander III being bald but Tsar Nicholas II keep his hair...

Lenin is Bald - Stalin is Hairy - Khrushchev is Bald - Brezhnev is Hairy - Andropov is Bald - Charnenko is Hairy - Gorbachev is Bald - Yeltsin is Hairy - Putin is Bald - Medvedev is Hairy- Putin the Bald is back - (we'll see)

No, we'll not talking bout Putin's potential successor here (as that would be current politics), let's talk about potential disruption in the Bald-Hairy pattern that will definitely cause the empirical rule to be thrown out.

The interesting thing is:
* All the potential successor to Lenin with potential powers to back their claim is HAIRY (Trotsky, Zinoviev, Kamenev, and of course Stalin)
* All the potential successor to Stalin with potential powers to back their claim is BALD (Beria, Zhukov, and of course Khrushchev)

The post-Khruschev leaders are more prone to having potential successors with the same hair as them, but why did Soviet-Russia keep the Bald-Hairy pattern even until now?

All you need to break this unfortunate cycle is to have the Commissar of Defense Mikhail Tukhachevsky lead the (supposed) Bonapartist coup he was (supposedly) planning against Joseph Stalin. If it works, Tukhachevsky assumes power in the Soviet Union and power would pass from one hairy man to another.

Could be worse could be hairy Republicans and bald democrats I guess..

What about karensky?
I remember somewhere that George HW Bush shaved his hair completely bald to shown solidarity with Cancer Patients, and George W Bush is balding, and as a whole, Democrat politicians often have thicker hair.

Now, if Democrats turned into liberalism much earlier, we could have Democrat Presidents having long hair, while Republicans will be associated with short hair. Bill will of course keep his mane from his younger days, and Obama is surprisingly looking much better with his long afro of youth.

Wasn't this ratherly just Stalin's paranoia and NKVD's plot so they could purge Tukhachevsky?

Yeah it was a fabrication by the NKVD to get rid of a potentially powerful political rival, but let’s say Tukhachevsky actually did decide to overthrow Stalin before the events of 1937 then it would fulfill the PoD.

Putin wasn't really all that bald in 1999:

It would have been more consistent with the pattern for Yeltsin to have been succeeded by Yury Luzhkov:

Technically the pattern was broken by Georgy Malenkov (hairy) when he succeeded Stalin (hairy) as Premier and de facto leader of the USSR. Of course, he wasn't in power for very long...
