Flag of the Republic of Champlain, based on a wanked-Vermont. I don't have a lot of logic behind the flag (and indeed the blue-on-green is impractical in vexillological terms; they'd blend at a distance) but I think it's a nice, pulpy alternate to the awful OTL Vermont Republic flag, which despite its nice colour palette just seems so random and half-assed to me. 'Just stick some stars in the top left, she'll be right'.

And the flag of 'The Federation', this TL's US equivalent. Nine horizontal bars for nine founding state (no New England, which stays British) united under the guiding star of the Federation. I wanted to make a two-tone Stars and Stripes equivalent, and this was the best thing I could come up with (the rest ended up looking like fancy bar codes). The Federation is both similar to our US and vastly divergent; more state rights, but less polarization, as nationalistic as ever, but with a well-functioning welfare state, among other things. Oh and mechs, they have mechs, and maaaaaybe Kaiju. I'm debating that part.

Flag Maker is is free and open software. Rather than complaining about an issue one could contribute to the project. Create more overlays and submit a pull request.

Not so much a complaint as it is an observation/critique; despite its limitations in some areas, I still like the program.

And I am too much of an ignorant scrub who doesn't know how to use Gimp or whatever to create more overlays, and am too impatient & lazy to bother trying to figure it out.:closedtongue::coldsweat:

But seriously, too much time and effort for me to bother for something I'm not particularly that frustrated by.

Flag concepts for the Metal Slug Rebellion's Navy in my TL, as in naval forces, not the gal of the same name (no seriously that's her name, why did the developers give her that name I have no idea), anyway I obviously used the Rising sun design used in the Imperial Japanese Navy and Army (along with the redesigned Rebel flag), particularly to highlight the evil nature of the Rebels (since well the Nazi motif is overused IMO) and to reflect the massive Japanese influence of TTL (thanks to tips from Mr_Bondoc):

I'm honestly unsure what design is truly better since both of them are pretty good IMO.

The third flag for tonight is an entirely new design, this one being a flag for a Fascist India, aka the "Azad Hind":

Using a svatiska for this is weird in an Indian Context, Hindi svatiska is the symbol of the God Ganesh, God of wisdom, education, intelligence, and schools, so it' not likely that they would use this symbol, so I would suggest something about Shiva, to show that India can destroy whatever is in it's path ...

Doesn't the direction of the swastika change what its meaning is? I mean, the one here is clockwise, so wouldn't a counter-clockwise swastika have a different meaning attached to it? I can't remember what the exact meanings are for each orientation...

One direction is related to Time, and the way it goes, the other to what I described on my previous post. Before this symbol was used by the Nazis, many people were using it (even Romans had some svastikas on their mosaics) and it was seen as a symbol of good things coming. Maybe the fact that it was tilted in nazi symbols has a meaning, but this seems unlikely, since many svastikas were drawned on the ground with nothing to tell if it's tilted or not ...

One could try using the Trishula to represent the state instead, since the weapon represents the cyclical passage of time as well as the primary three mandates of a hypothetical fascist Indian nation--the creation of order, the maintenance of control, and the destruction of any foreign menace.

How about this then?

Granted, I had to use the Barbados trident to represent the Trishula, but it gets the point across, right? ...Eh, get it, point?;) ...I probably shouldn't be a comedian...:coldsweat:

Anyways, I also have a couple new flags to share too, so might as well now, right?

First one is inspired by the C&C Generals Rise of the Reds mod, with the Russian Federation led by President Nikolai Suvorov (though the specific star design here comes from Advanced Weapons General Nikita Aleksandr):

The second one is a new Communist Australia flag (I had an older version which was crap), based on the Eureka flag but modified with Communist colors and motifs:

And that's it for now.

Here are a few flags I made! With an emphasis on simplicity, recognizability, and as few colors as possible. These flags have no associated fictional nations or groups attributed to them.

I honestly prefer the first version (looks more aesthetically pleasing to me), but if the trident one floats your boat, that's fine by me!

If you really like it, this is a good idea for some democrat organisation that tries to restore truth and peace, replacing the Trishula of the officers by the Svastika of the teachers

Here is a small collection of Black Marxist-Socialist flags intended for the TL-191 universe. In this timeline the Confederate States of America win the Civil War and survives up until WWII.

The two flags shown below are flags intended for two marxist-socialist groups primarily consisting of Confederate blacks. Inspired and motivated by socialist principles, blacks in the states of South Carolina and Georgia rise up against the Confederacy during WWI in 1915 as the Confederacy fights the United States. This is my interpretation of the flags they could have used.

"free iris" ? odd name for a militant group. What's the story behind it ?

In short they are quasi-left wing antifascist resistance organization with access to heavy weaponries and old Kanmusu/Kansen (term for shipgirls in kancolle and azur lane respectively) under their command (all supplied by Azur Lane Alliance forces). Their mission is to basically sabotage every Ironblood facilities and steal some plans (either military or technological one) from them to be given to ALA high commands.
