Hello, i'm looking to request a flag for a custom nation that i'm world building.
Here is a brief description of my nation
The Confederation of Sivanian Duchies, commonly known as Sivania or the Dominion of Sivania, is a autonomous subject of Aylantis located on the continent of Artenful, bordering the Aniloheath Ocean to the West, Sea of Whuyrg'hom to the North, Gyrehewis Gulf to the South and to the South-East the United Tribes of Astarnwern. Sivania is a member of the Pecithic'ry Consortium (An Union of Satellite States and Associates within the Imperium of Aylantis's Sphere), and has been granted a permanent seat on the Imperial Dictum (An council of Aristocrats that dictate law across the Consortium). The Confederacy is composed of 34 Duchies, each has the ability to vote for laws in the National Lordly Parliament.

I used the stars and crescent from Our Lady of Guadelupe imagery, and the Tenochtilan Eagle is in Marian blue.
What alternative names could Prince Edward Island have? It's been formerly known as Epekwitk to the indigenous Mi'kmaq First Nations people, as Île Saint-Jean to the French, and as St. John's Island by the British before 1799. It is also known as Prince's Island or John's Island in Scottish Gaelic by Gaelic speakers in Nova Scotia.
I've been considering alternatives to these in the incident that it was admitted as a U.S. state (largely part of my ATL where the US takes all of North America, etc., where PEI is currently part of the State of Nova Scotia) and the current name is too explicitly monarchist-sounding. The other names are problematic in their own way.
I've considered Northumberland, after the strait to its south.
I've considered 'New Kent' as a possible name, after Prince Edward who was the Duke of Kent at the time of its naming to PEI. The latter is inspired from the naming of New York after Prince James, Duke of York. It maintains the connections to the Prince Edward name, without reference to monarchical terms like "prince".
With the latter name of New Kent in mind, is it possible to get a state flag fusing elements of the current flags of PEI and Kent County, UK?

Can someone fix and explode this flag for me? It's a 3 striped flag with 2 small blue bars and 1 larger white bar at the center. Also in the center is a red Kenyan (British colonial) lion centered in front of a 8 pointed golden sun. If anyone wants to give a go at this flag that would be awesome.
personnaly, I feel like if the problem was the connection to the monarchy, they would rename it is such a way that it has no connection to modern UK at all. One option could be to name it after a US politician or military leader just like the state of washington. Another would be to rename it after some legendary island like Avalon.
As for the flag, a design could be to drop the english lion but keep the rest with the 2 sets of trees being reinterpreted as the state of alt-nova scotia prospering under the US and the bordure compony, now an actual bordure, changed from canadian white and red to the US red-white and blue.
