AHC: Indian dynasty ruling over China

A challenge that’s simply stated but probably quite difficult to accomplish: with a POD no earlier than the founding of the Qin Dynasty in 221 BC, have China be ruled for an extended period of time (at least 25 years) by a dynasty with ethnocultural origins anywhere in the Indian subcontinent. They can be of any religion and use any method to take power, as long as they rule at least all of China proper for the entire period.

Some indian dudes use magic to summon alien space bats from the heavens, which they use to fly over the himalayas, conquer china, and found their own dynasty, using alien space bats as their own private army to suppress uprisings.

A graduate of Nalanda University moves across the Himalayas to China with his family, his son joins up with the army and becomes a general and eventually launches a coup. Not much of this dynasty is Indian apart from the head, but it fulfils your challenge.

Stretching your challenge, the Kushan Empire which ruled both Central Asia and India at the same time survives for longer. Its highly syncretic culture results in Hindu gods like Shiva, warped through the lens of Central Asian culture, moving north permanently. Eventually, the Kushan Empire shatters into two, and a Central Asian group with Hindu gods moves east to China.

I wonder if it's possible for an Arab-Indian/Persian-Indian trader to become influential in one of the Southern Song commercial cities, like OTL Pu Shougeng who was a 'Semuren' active in Quanzhou, which itself was a major base for Arab/Persian merchants. Like Pu Shougeng, this trader would surrender to the Yuan Dynasty, with him and his descendants playing a valued role in keeping the peace.

Then, at the end of the Yuan Dynasty, a member of the trading family then decides to become a warlord, and eventually unites China as Emperor.
