Former senior government press officer Jamie McDonald has returned from the wilderness. After leaving government, he bought a Croft in his native Scotland. Almost a decade on, refreshed and reinvigorated, he’s recently joined PR firm Brunswick where he’ll be advising high profile clients on media strategy.

“Politics...” says McDonald, “...was a big part of my life. But now I am able to ignore my mobile phone for a few hours.”

For a man with a reputation for being as profane as his one time boss, Malcolm Tucker, he seems to have turned over a new leaf. He thanks his partner, former civil servant Judy Molloy, for that.

He won’t be drawn on Brexit or the Labour Party today. A smirking NOMFUP is his only comment.

(I swear that this post wasn't inspired by Alpha-King's just a couple above. Though, it is a funny coincidence.)

International Judo Federation 10th dan judoka, Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin, practicing with the Russian Olympic judo team leading up to the 2016 Rio de Janeiro Olympic Games. Putin won the gold medal for the middleweight event in judo at the 1972 Munch Olympic Games, the first judoka from the Soviet Union to do so. He would go on to win gold medals in the same event in the 1976 Montreal Olympic Games and the 1980 Moscow Olympic Games, but retired afterwards. His intense love and passion for the sport kept him in the industry, however, and he has been a trainer for the Soviet, and later Russian Olympic judo teams ever since, producing innumerable medalists in Olympic judo as a result. He is the only Russian to have been recognized as a 10th dan by any major judo organization, which he was rewarded by the International Judo Federation for his tireless work in promoting and driving forward the sport.

So ITTL the Secretary of State is the de facto Prime Minister of the US?

Famous German toy-maker Herman Goring overlooks a self-constructed miniature to be displayed outside his toy shop in Munich. Goring was infatuated with toys and modeling from childhood after a trip to another toy store in Munich. Impressed, he was inspired to create and sell toys and dolls for, as he liked to say, the “happy children of Bavaria”. He also didn’t enlist in the Great War, being shunned for service.

His jolly yet large demeanor earned him a relevant reputation in the Weimar Republic, also stemming from his famous model plane designs. Goring’s model aircraft, inspired from a holiday to Southern France where he attended an air show, were mass produced and eventually became one of the most popular toys in Germany.

A later, more adult-oriented model of a French aircraft. The model was been preserved and polished, kept in a museum in Berlin.

Alex Jones, the 48th Governor of Texas, holds an outdoor rally outside his residence.

Jones is one of the most controversial figures within the Republican Party. Some supporters tag him as a bold warrior of traditional American values and a key memeber of the newfound anti-PC culture in parts of the United States. Critics, mostly liberal along with moderate Republicans, call him extreme and Xenophobic, citing his tough state immigration laws and his belief of government conspiracies.

Jones is coasting along at a 41% approval rating in his state, making him vulnerable in his upcoming run for re-election in the 2018 midterms.

Greg Abott poses for a picture at an Alex Jones rally.

If Alex Jones is the extreme example of Republican Texas, Litenaunt Governor Abott is the voice of reason within state politics. Abott, appointed by Jones, is a moderating influence on the hot-headed governor, keeping him somewhat in line with the establishment Texas GOP. However, his setbacks on moderating Jones and his policies have him on the verge of losing his position and region-wide embarrassment.

A frog currently in captivity at a government facility near Dallas.

Governor Alex Jones, in what he calls “a strike back against a deep state atrocity”, gave an order to develop gay conversion therapy for frogs. The governor believed that federal tap water reserves contained chemicals that turned amphibians gay, so he naturally wanted to put a stop to it.

The conversion therapy was met with next to no successes, mostly due to research showing that frogs cannot be and are currently not gay. His theory disproved and his hopes crushed, the Governor’s Approval ratings temporarily dipped ten percent, although climbing back up after he lowered retail taxes in his state.
