If the movement was going to be in any way violent in intent, then I suppose it could have gone very differently.
Perhaps if there was a strong cadre of blokes with smuggled weapons able to face the Yeomanry? Or some sort of gangs who were on the look out for any trouble from the local businesses.
Either that, or generally a more militant resistance within Britain as a whole.
