The 1936 Tesla (also known as the Tesla Thunderbolt) was not the first electric car, but it was the electric car that would garner attention. Though the 1936 Tesla had a rough beginning, largely being sold at first during the midst of the Depression, the car would find an interest from the...

Poster for the 1965 AIP film Rapture: Hell Beneath the Waves (also known as Rapture: Fury of the Deep) starring Vincent Price and Telly Savalas. This production early run of the poster is notable for being a collectors item in part due to the misspelling of Savalas as Sevelas, with few extant...

Menu Screen from the Hitman 2 (2018) Arkham DLC mission. In part due to the partnership between Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment with IO Interactive in publishing Hitman 2, IO was granted permission to craft a single level set in the DC Universe, at Arkham Asylum. Following the release of...

Guns and Butter: Violence, Power, and Alternatives in Alternate History

Wars are I would say, fairly easy starting points for those who got into the genre of alternate history early on. It's why you tend to see mass market alternate history focus on a lot of the same things (What if the South had Won, What if Hitler Had Won, What if Napoleon Had Won at Waterloo...

1960's Rapture: Hell Beneath The Waves poster. Note this particular poster is rarer, due to the early printing error regarding Telly Savalas, which was fixed after 110 of these were printed. Only 27 are known to still be in circulation among collectors.

Thanks TB. At 24 now, it feels weird being a year away now from a quarter century old.

    TL Idea: Batman Alternate Actors/Films

Batman serials might be interesting to consider as well. Especially if crossed over some how with the Kirk Alyn Superman.

Building the difference engine and analytical engine in 1878--how tough?

The issue is getting Babbage to actually finish his plans for a Analytical Engine. He kept reworking and rewriting plans for it (the man was a...perfectionist...to put it politely.) Add in his other projects and fight with street musicians and an inability to allocate approved funds in a...

50 years of the American Doctor

I've seen it. Which makes it difficult when writing my TL, trying not to use too many of those actors for roles in said TL, without seeming to...well, being borrowing wholesale, as the thing goes. I can see where they are coming from, in some of the attempts to parallel it as "what if Doctor...

I based the body and some of the facial features off of the animated Bud Abbot from the H-B Abbot and Costello. The face was based off of Jonathan Frid, who played the 1st Doctor in my AmericanWho timeline. See the post here for the story behind the image in general...

A production design of the Doctor and his TARDIS from the short lived 1960's Hanna-Barbera animated series, which was a tie-in to the American Doctor Who series produced by NET-TV running at the time. EDIT: Those are some good images, Napoleon. Still doing pretty good on showing the utter...

    Nelvana's Doctor Who

Interesting conceit for a "What could have been..." Certainly has given me ideas for my own story regarding animation, though I doubt Nelvana would be involved there. And I do agree that black doesn't work for Colin Baker. Even this not photoshop...

Magazine cover I made for a potential ASB/Writers Forum TL (I have no idea which it would be better to work as) idea for an "American Doctor Who", which mainly came about in a pique of drowsiness one morning, and won't leave me alone. Below is another image for the potential TL, with...
