Alaska doesn't need 6-12 senators. It's the fourth smallest state in terms of population - giving them any more senators'd be utterly foolish.

From my observations and the time I spent in Yunnan this summer, yeah, that's pretty accurate. Things get a bit more heated as you approach the northern half of the province near Tibet, but in the south a lot of Naxi/Yi/etc and Han customs are pretty well interwoven.

As mcdo was saying, there are a lot of modern Japanese verbs and participles that are written with hiragana now instead of kanji (できる vs. 出来る, for example), but I'm pretty sure the transition was made because a lot of these verbs are used in an auxiliary position to modify other verbs. Although...
