I believe a quick read of Turtledove's "Days of Infamy and The End of the Begininng" would be helpful to this scenario.
Now...The Enterprise and Lexington making it back to the West Coast....That does sound interesting...........

For me, I found Days of Infamy my favorite. With the "REVERSE" Midway at the end.
The Sequel, "End of the Beginning" had an even BIGGER payoff.

Effects question
Sorry to go OT, but would you be so kind as to tell me how you made the effects of your map?
-It looks like you made it from MS Paint, but how did you get the "border effect"? i.e. Congo is Belgan, but controlled by Germany.
