  1. the best movies never made

Price was actually quite good in it, the problem is the film itself. It wasn't a film; it was Jack Warner reminding a number of actors, actresses and directors exactly who was running Warner Brothers. Flynn and Davis had been offered to MGM for GONE WITH THE WIND - MGM had some interest in...

  3. the best movies never made

His second film was THE PRIVATE LIVES OF ELIZABETH AND ESSEX with Errol Flynn and Bette Davis, but it was a rather unusual film...
  4. the best movies never made

I'm assuming this is just before he started to work with Roger Corman?
  5. Alternate warships of nations

I have the same problem myself, I can go over a design a dozen times and still miss a problem each and every time. Which is why I like others to proofread the design to see what I missed. Most of my designs are SS2 because I can't save SS3 designs for some reason plus I frequently screw...

Your Tirpitz has no deck or CT armor... Also you have 24 casemate guns (16 wet) plus 4 deck mounts...
  7. Alternate warships of nations

IIRC they were actually 16.5-inch, and could not fire all three turret guns at once. And the RN is doing triple 16-inch turrets for the LION-class in 1938-39...

  10. The Death Collectors: Bond Films that Never Were

Jack Palance as a Bond villain? That is inspired - he was just so over the top as Kaleel on the BUCK ROGERS IN THE 25TH CENTURY episode PLANET OF THE SLAVE WOMEN.
  11. WI: Bf 109K (Kürfurst) in 1942.

    Or the fuel situation...
  12. Reich Ministry commissions surface to air missiles in 1941

That might be right. For the Ta-154 the pilot did drop out of the cockpit under the airframe as going over the side wasn't practical (or safe).
  13. Reich Ministry commissions surface to air missiles in 1941

IIRC the Argentine's also built a radial-engined copy postwar but it wasn't built in any numbers...
  14. Reich Ministry commissions surface to air missiles in 1941

I used to think the Natter could have helped against the Allied Bombers. Then I read the new Osprey Publishing book on it. The bomber streams would definitely alter course to avoid known large concentrations of Natter's. Then there was the problem of fueling. I see this being in a rush to get...
  15. Reich Ministry commissions surface to air missiles in 1941

Both the Panzerschrek and Panzerfaust worked well, but neither was truly late-war. Puppetchen appears to have worked but never got into production. The early Me-262's had a host of problems including a tailwheel. The V-2 program took time to get up to speed but they never did enough damage to...
