Anybody know of a timeline written set in modern times where the whole world has ended up as democracies? Seems like a plausible scenario if things had gone better at the start of the 1900's.
As a Kiwi I'm happy to finally see mention of "Zealand". I think that in the timeline you've created I wouldn't mind being part of British North America.
As a New Zealander who has always been fascinated by American politics I gotta say this is one of the best timelines I've read. I was ment to go to bed a couple hours ago but I think I just spent 2-3 hours reading this whole thing. Bloody brilliant. I can't wait for you to get up to the present day.

Thames still had a full car assembly plant running at the time right? Or did it always just refurbish imported Toyotas? How much of it was made in NZ, or were we just assembling things from Japan?
On that note, how nuked did did Japan get?
Brilliant update as ever, with an even greater bigger map, so I gotta ask, please Mario, can I post some of your maps on the Imaginary Maps subreddit? They are just such well done maps, together with such a great storyline, that I can't but hope that posting them there will gain you yet more...
Tsar, mate, this is one awesome story. Here I am, 3 in the morning finally finishing reading it all in one go. First time I've read a modernish NZ alt history. Being born in the late 80's all these names are familial but still historic, with family and workmates mentioning their names from time...
Just somewhere in one of the Gospels during a parable Jesus casually mentioned liking the Roman public baths, and how good it is to get nice and clean. I would imagine the effect of diseases and general hygiene would be much different.
