Gray is always neutral. Pink is probably socialdemocratic or other socialists. Red is "pure communism". Brown is fascist countries. Dark blue West Africa is either Free France or a West African Union. Orange is either a pact or teocratic (muslim) countries. The obvious is of course USA, Canada...

In the movie one drop of blood from a corpse infected a human. Don't know how long the infected have been dead, but he's probably been dead for days.
