  1. Until Every Drop of Blood Is Paid: A More Radical American Civil War

Is it weird that I find this funny in a metaphysical/metatextual sense?
  2. Until Every Drop of Blood Is Paid: A More Radical American Civil War

Since Kirby Smith is more or less on his own, who would confront him? Maybe give Schofield a second chance? Or Phil Sheridan after he finishes burning the Shenandoah?
  3. Until Every Drop of Blood Is Paid: A More Radical American Civil War

If we’re on the subject of U.S. imperialism ITTL, I say it’s a 50/50 chance whether Kingdom of Hawaii is either annexed entirely as in OTL, or maintains its independence as a de facto protectorate. Depends on whether the Royal Guard fire on the 1893 coup plotters. (See the TL Sugarcane and...
  4. Until Every Drop of Blood Is Paid: A More Radical American Civil War

Quick tip: When posting picture for the next chapters, maybe try rehosting them using Imgur.
  5. Until Every Drop of Blood Is Paid: A More Radical American Civil War

Did you mean "spurred them to act"? In any case, let's see how Grant capitalizes on this.
  6. Until Every Drop of Blood Is Paid: A More Radical American Civil War

Is this in reference to Johnston's animosity towards Breckinridge, or did Johnston dislike Longstreet for reasons I'm not aware of?
  7. Until Every Drop of Blood Is Paid: A More Radical American Civil War

What was the logic behind transplanting the circumstances concerning the forward assault up Missionary Ridge in OTL to a successful charge up Kennesaw Mountain instead (besides Chattanooga already being in Union hands)?
  8. Nothing to Lose but Your Chains! / a German Revolution TL

Worse comes worse, maybe the FSRD can substitute with Die Internationale as a temporary anthem. They can share it with the RSFSR.
  9. Nothing to Lose but Your Chains! / a German Revolution TL

There’s also the option of using the gear-compass-hammer from the Spartakus HOI4 mod? On a different note, will the FSRD anthem still be Deutschlandlied or something similar to Auferstanden aus Ruinen?
  10. Until Every Drop of Blood Is Paid: A More Radical American Civil War

Cue Thomas' telegram to Sherman: "I await your arrival."
  11. Until Every Drop of Blood Is Paid: A More Radical American Civil War

In all honesty, U.S. policies towards the Native Americans will likely still be terrible. We can probably still expect reservations and the Dawes Act allotments. How corrupt the policy enactments are in a more radical postwar-USA however is up to the butterflies.
  12. The Fire Never Dies, Part II: The Red Colossus

Since this thread now has the “fascist Britain” tag, may I recommend J. F. C. Fuller for a potential future leader?
  13. Nothing to Lose but Your Chains! / a German Revolution TL

Bit of a digression: Is this Imperial Japan in this case, or democratic Japan?
  14. Writing Question: Fictional Characters with the Same Forename as Historical Characters

Civil War and Reconstruction-era America. Two of the main POV characters converse with Union and CSA military officers, politicians, and civilians (whole bunch of people named James, Joseph, Thomas, Samuel, William, etc.). One of the fictional characters is a USCT officer named “____ Coyle”...
  15. Writing Question: Fictional Characters with the Same Forename as Historical Characters

I'm working on an AH TL set during the late 19th century, and I've hit a bit of a roadblock: One of the fictional characters in the TL will be encountering a number of RL historical characters, a number of which have the same name. Can I get away with fictional characters having the same name...
