AHC: Loyalist South American Colonies

with a PoD within the eighteenth century, make it so that the Spanish retain control of at least one colony in South America to at until at least 1900. The bigger the colony (or more colonies) the better.

POD: The Spanish 1820 rebellion doesn't happen, the Spanish army overwhelms Colombian forces. While low level fighting continues for years. Bolivar can't attack Peru from the north, the Chilenean forces San Martin leads from the south are defeated by loyalist forces in Peru, as the loyalists aren't facing a two front war.

Peru remains loyalist, Colombia is a toss up. Chile, Argentina, Paraguay and Uruguay might remain independent if the Spanish are bogged down in Colombia, but Brazil might end up annexing Uruguay as Argentina might not feel comfortable in getting in a war with Brazil with Spanish armies still operating in the Upper Peru.

EDIT: Oops, checked you wanted a POD in the 18th century, not the 19th

Honestly, the 1800s is fine too, I just didn't know if that'd be too hard :p

All juan would have to do is stick the POD for the 1820 non-rebellion back in the 18th century, and there you go. The action would still all take place in the 19th century.

They did retain control of the Chiloé Archipelago until 1826 on account of it being Loyal to Spain, with Spain officially claiming it until 1844.

As in kill Riego (b.1785) and this particular army won't head for Madrid rather than embarking for South America. Kill Ferdinand VII (b.1784) and there won't be reason for a rebellion in the first place.

Spanish Guayana Province remains part of the Audiencia of Santo Domingo and is never incorporated into the Viceroyalty of New Granada, though the Captaincy General of Venezuela is still formed from other five provinces and is transferred to the administration of the Viceroyalty of New Granada. After the revolutionary movements roll around and the dust is cleared, we have a smaller independent Venezuela and a lingering Spanish colony of Guayana, which is elevated to its own Audiencia of Guayana. Not unlike the British, Dutch, and French Guianas, Spanish Guayana is thinly-populated and nonviable as an independent country until the 20th Century. It may be populated with Cubans and Puerto Ricans for as long as those colonies remain Spanish, or, taking a cue from the British use of Indian indentured labor and Dutch use of Indonesians, the Spanish might bring Filipinos over.

The extent of Spanish Guayana is shown in yellow:

the only onw, will be Perú, which was tha main stronghold of Spanis dominion; f they survive, the rest of the rbellion will avoid get into Perú

Perhaps Ferdinand VII is less of an idiot and combination of the Plan of Iguala and Treaty of Córdova is fully accepted and implemented. They called for Mexico to become a constitutional monarchy and would have offered the throne to Ferdinand VII as Emperor of Mexico. I might be wrong, but I think it would have transformed Mexico into a Dominion similar to what Canada would become later in the century.
