TL-191: After the End

I have to say, David, this TL is fairly good! :) I find the TL-191 an interesting - although at times a bit surreal and repetitive - alternate history, and I love what you have been doing here (I also liked Zionist Uganda and the Alliance Victorious TL). Hope that you will post a new chapter soon.

BTW, I have to ask: is there something of interest going to happen to Spain any time soon?

In the early 1970s.

1968 and 1969 are getting closer :)

Yup. By the end of this month.

I think it likely Korea will be unified, probably under a socialist government given the success of the US Socialists in implementing their agenda (especially post-GW2 now that military considerations vis a vis the CSA are no longer an issue), and the Japanese are in for a very long occupation, possibly joint Russian/American or perhaps with China as the local proxy occupier.

There's no reason for a communist regime to rise up, and I think a Socialist Party-led America would oppose them since, if anything, it's rocking the boat. Russia might get an elected socialist government, maybe China would after it rebuilds from the thorough fucking Japan has given it, but neither would become the totalitarian murder machines of OTL.

are we reading the same TL?

going through the thread, the Russian Republic has a Socialist and communist party, but are democratic-ish.

China, as far as I remember, is both non-communist and in no position to do anything.
It's been a while since I read the whole TL all the way through, so please forgive any mistakes

Just read this whole thread again after a long while. Honestly, Dave, this was an interesting and fun read. And, quite honestly, you know what I'd like to see eventually? Somebody really needs to give 'Decades of Darkness' a similar treatment, after the The Fox and the Jackal is done. If somebody were to do that, I'd honestly be thrilled, just as long as this successor project didn't take any crazy turns.

What is with you? It seems like every post I've seen you make is a complaint about Decades of Darkness, regardless of relevance. If you don't like something, don't read it, and let those of us who did like it enjoy it.

Sorry, but complaining wasn't the intention here. I merely said that if somebody made a DoD story in this fashion, after The Fox and the Jackal was published, as Dave has done here with TL-191, I would be happy to read it, as long as whoever wrote this hypothetical successor didn't start going nuts with wacky stuff or whatever(of course, I'm pretty sure Jared would keep a good eye on things so maybe we wouldn't need to worry...or so I would hope, anyway.).
I do realize I wasn't being very clear, though, and I apologize for that mistake.

Anyway, with that cleared up.........BTW, Dave, when can we expect the next chapter?
