TL-191: After the End

Keep up the great work.

Thanks!

And will 9/11 be in this TL?

Nope, there won't be.

Great job on the update, David!!

Thank you!

If I may offer a suggestion: put Gagarin and Armstrong (or someone else) on the Moon together. That should be fun.

Marc A

I may include a couple of analogues somewhere. ;)

p.s. Will you have a list of U.S. aircraft carriers in service stashed somewhere?

I don't think so. Though I'll be sure to name drop as the ATL progresses.

Hrmm. Is Fleischberg HIV?

Ayup.

Awesome job!!

I like the uber-green wank. I think it is quite appropriate for TL 191. But much more importantly is the "urban farming" and the "garden cities", which I expect come with a lack of OTL's suburban design.
Something I always thought would be absent in TL 191.

Looking forward to the rest of the space race and the US and Russia, finally giving Japan what they deserve.

In almost every ATL, including this one, why does Japan come off as trhe bad guy or one of the bad guys?

How are relations between the Ottoman Empire and the United States? From what I can infer from the timeline, they seem on friendly terms, especially when it comes to dealing with South Africa and the like. I'd imagine that there'd be some friction due to the US aiding the Russians...

May we also know what US-Japan relations may be like by 2000...? :p

What about the killing of hostages in the CSA? Will the US continue that practice for decades? If yes then the I think the US will face a CSA uprising in some areas in the 60s

I don't think that the Draconian methods used by the U.S. Army will be around for much longer, if they're not at all. The latest update revealed several more Southern states joining the Union, and if my mental map is correct that leaves Alabama, Mississippi, Florida and the Carolinas left under Military rule. So it shows that little by little, more southerners are willing to lay down their arms and go on with their lives. Also, by the 60's and 70's, you have a new generation of southerners who've never known or lived under the stars and bars, so unless the US government does something stupid down south, an uprising is out of the question.

Because the Imperial Japanese were pretty damn monstrous to everyone in their colonies who were unfortunate enough to have committed the crime of not being Japanese.

Except for Taiwan, which may have come out slightly ahead from the deal.

This is a great continuation of the TL-191. I;d like to see how he handles the modern age with the Credit Crunch and Obama in the White House

With Socialists, that won't be happening and since Obama's dad is from Kenya, he won't be born. If he is, then his life should be very different than OTL.

David a few questions on the matter of the colonial empires

1 do the British or French still control anywhere

2 what OTL nations or territories are controlled by Germany

3 will the Portuguese empire federalize I really hope it does and if it does will other nations try it as well the German empires to big but it could remain in control of a few islands and strategic areas the Austria Hungarian empire only appears to control Malta and some islands in the Indian ocean along with the Italian and Spanish empires who are quite small could federalize as well

4 does Portugal still control Goa this could cause an interesting scenario if it does and Bharat invades possibly causing a wider conflict between the IM and the EC

EDIT

5 why on the maps is Romania not marked as a Austria Hungarian puppet and why haven't Bulgaria and Albania joined the EC
